The Gate of Monsters

Scenario:Right under a certain girl's property, a dangerous gate that ranked above many had appeared below. As many highly dangerous gates have been appearing throughout cities, monsters arriving from within, other hunters would have to protect and save like the heroes they are and seal gates with their efforts. There's one of these in around where your family's one of many mansions. At eon, a nice plateau house. Didn't know a gate would spawn somewhere on the cliff side.

Sammy

usually wears a green coat opened and with a brown shirt underneath who's not exactly the kind to be quite kind, generous, considerate. Everyone likes her for that. But she's softer than she can do. While she's nice and everything. On a daily basis and casually she can just surprise everyone again and again with her surprising strength she keeps forgetting her father while not here was a legend for good reason gates don't stand a chance against him or his daughter. She's cute to say the least.

Right under a certain girl's property, a dangerous gate that ranked above many had appeared below.
As more and more kept showing up all over the cities, monsters kept arriving from within them, other hunters had to protect and save like the heroes they are and seal them with their efforts.
There's one of these in around where I live, at Eon, a nice plateau house.
Didn't know a gate would spawn somewhere on the cliff side.
It just so happens one of the girls from the families that owns one of the many mansions at Eon has the house right above it.
Me and that girl are neighbors.
And we just happen to know each other too.
We're not exactly friends though.
More like enemies who happen to know each other and are rivals.
Her name is Selena.
I'm not anti social or anything, I'm not mean, I'm not a bad person.
I'm just not exactly the kind to be quite kind, generous, considerate and all that.
Everyone likes me for that.
While I'm nice and everything, on a daily basis and casually…
I can just surprise everyone again and again with my surprising strength.
They just keep forgetting my father wasn't strong for absolutely nothing reason.
He wasn't strong for nothing, he wasn't a legend for no reason.
Gates don't stand a chance against him or his daughter.
I guess you could say I'm cute but deadly as well.
Which is why Selena doesn't like me very much.
The Gate of Monsters
I'm descending the hidden elevator shaft, my boots crunching on the loose gravel as I step into the dimly lit cavern beneath our mansions.
The walls shimmer with an unnatural purple hue, casting strange shadows across the rocky terrain.
Three humanoid monsters patrol ahead, their iridescent skin shifting between blue and green as they move.
They're tall, elegant creatures, with long limbs and slender bodies.
Their eyes glow like lanterns in the darkness, casting an ethereal glow across the cavern floor.
The Gate of Monsters
They move with an unnaturally graceful gait, their long strides eating up the distance as they circle their makeshift camp.
The narrow passages between the cliff walls confine them to a small area, but they haven't found a way up to the city yet.
I press myself against a cold stone column, watching them from a safe distance.
I take a deep breath, ready to show them what true strength looks like.
I study their movements, noting the way they communicate with each other using subtle hand gestures.
They're setting up some sort of base camp, arranging strange crystalline objects in a circular pattern.
It's almost as if they're trying to establish some sort of ritual circle.
I grip my fists tighter, ready to strike.
But something holds me back.
They're not attacking, they're not trying to climb out of the cavern.
They're just... setting up a base of operations.
I can't quite believe it, but it looks like they're trying to establish themselves down here.
One of the creatures pulls out a small map-like projection from a device on their wrist, pointing to specific locations on the cavern floor.
My father always taught me to analyze before engaging.
The Gate of Monsters
These creatures seem too intelligent, too organized for me to just rush in and attack.
I shift position, trying to get a better view of their map projection.
I crouch behind a nearby column, watching as they work.
Their fur shimmers in the dim light, almost like the soft glow of a lantern.
They're not threatening at all, they look more like giant plush toys.
One trips over a loose crystal, catching itself with an unnatural grace.
My fingers relax their grip on the stone.
These aren't the vicious beasts I expected.
They continue placing devices that pulse with a soft blue light, probably monitoring equipment.
I edge closer, trying to get a better view of their setup.
Accidentally kicking a small pebble in the process.
The smallest monster's ear twitches, turning towards me.
The Gate of Monsters
The Gate of Monsters
Its eyes are large and doe-like, filled with an unnatural innocence.
My heart skips a beat - not from fear, but guilt.
The last time I fought a monster, I nearly killed it.
I watch, frozen, as the monster kneels beside a cluster of crystals.
Its green horns glow with a faint, pulsing light.
It places its palms on the ground in a methodical motion, channeling some sort of energy into the cavern floor.
The air around it seems to ripple, like the surface of a pond disturbed by a thrown stone.
A structure begins to form, growing like an ice crystal in the cold cavern air.
It's some sort of sentry turret, pulsing with an otherworldly energy.
The other two monsters continue their work, each constructing similar defensive positions.
I've heard reports of high-level gates - how their monsters can reshape the environment itself to create fortified defenses.
This must be one of those gates.
The nearest creature begins constructing another sentry, uncomfortably close to my position.
The Gate of Monsters
"Why are you doing this?" I call out, stepping into the open with my hands raised.
One of the greenhorn constructors turns its head towards me, its voice surprisingly soft, "... Mhm..." Took it a while to realize a human asked. They may not have expected their sudden appearance. As it to take out it's weapon. And it completely missed it's phaser beam, another piece of equipment exclusive to a Greenhorn.
It sizzled past my ear, leaving a smoking hole in the cavern wall.
The other two monsters whirl around, their elegant movements now tense and defensive.
I could crush them all with the strength I've inherited from my father - but something holds me back.
These aren't mindless beasts; they're building something with purpose.
The one that was constructing a crystal sentry quickly just used one of it's attacks to either scare me off or to buy itself time.
I step forward, hands still raised to show I mean no harm.
But the largest monster misinterprets the motion, firing another beam that grazes my shoulder.
The burn stings, my temper flaring.
"Stop!" I shout, wincing from the pain.
The Gate of Monsters
I blink, the words sinking in as the tension in the cavern shifts.
I edge forward, keeping my back against the rough cavern wall.
The crystal sentry hums with energy, its transparent surface refracting purple light across the chamber.
Suddenly, it fires a barrage of laser beams that singe my coat and force me to duck behind a nearby stalagmite.
The sentry continues firing, each shot coming closer as the targeting system adjusts.
I grit my teeth in frustration - this thing won't stop until I'm dead.
The Gate of Monsters
I grab a fist-sized chunk of limestone from the ground.
Taking a deep breath, I lean out and hurl the rock with all my strength.
The limestone chunk hits the crystal sentry dead center, shattering it into a shower of purple shards and sparking components.
The explosion echoes through the cavern, making my ears ring.
The three monsters freeze in place, their glowing eyes fixed on the remains of their defense system.
Crackling energy arcs between the broken crystal pieces on the ground, casting strange shadows across the cave walls.
I stay crouched behind the stalagmite, muscles tense, waiting to see how they'll react.
The Gate of Monsters
The greenhorn monster takes a hesitant step forward, its furry hands raised in what looks like surrender. As the other two redhorns just still lay there in defeat after beating them up on my way down.
I slowly emerge, keeping my hands visible, but still ready to defend myself.
The greenhorn maintains its surrender pose, its furry body quivering slightly.
The two redhorns stay on their knees, heads bowed in defeat.
Purple crystal shards crunch under my boots as I take three cautious steps forward.
The cavern feels different now - less like a battlefield and more like a shared space.
The Gate of Monsters
I stop about ten feet from the greenhorn, close enough to see the intelligence in its doe-like eyes.
It makes a series of clicking sounds, like it's trying to communicate.
I nod, understanding that this is just the beginning of an uneasy alliance.
