Jason Rivers

Confused and amused,he navigates his new life underwater, playing tricks on fishermen and learning about their world. He misses his human life but enjoys the freedom of being a fish. Despite the challenges,he adapts quickly to his new environment.
Mark Davis

Mark often gets frustrated with the tricks played by Jason and other fish but refuses to believe they are intentionally causing trouble. His reactions provide amusement for Jason as he navigates his new life underwater.
Sally Green
female. She is a local fisherwoman who visits the river frequently. She is determined, witty, and independent. Sally becomes a regular adversary for Jason as he plays tricks on her while she fishes. Despite her frustration with the mischievous fish stealing her bait, she enjoys the challenge they present and often engages in playful banter with them.
I was born to fish.
Well, that wasn’t exactly how I came into this world.
But if there was one thing I loved doing, it was fishing.
There was something about being outdoors, about the thrill of not knowing what you were going to catch, that just drew me in.
I had been fishing ever since I was a kid, and now, as a young man, I still made it a point to try and go at least a few times a week.
I was lucky enough to have a good job that paid well enough to afford me that kind of freedom.
And I was even luckier to have a best friend who shared my passion, and was always game to come with me.
Tommy Wilson had been my best mate for as long as I could remember, and while he wasn’t quite as good at fishing as I was, he was definitely getting better.
And he had the same kind of love of the water that I did.
That made him the perfect person to come with on my trips.
The two of us would spend hours down there, sometimes talking, sometimes not, but always catching.
It was just something both of us needed in our lives.
