My name is Elora.
I live in a small village at the edge of a forest.
I am an orphan, and my life has been dull and unchanging since as long as I can remember.
At least, that is what they tell me.
The villagers consider me eccentric.
Some even call me strange or mad.
They do not understand my dreams.
They do not understand me.
Since I was a child, I have had the most vivid and intense dreams.
In these dreams, magic is real.
There are monsters and dragons and elves and dwarves and giants and so many other wondrous things I cannot even begin to count them.
There are also things called dungeon cores and top-tier adventurers and endless possibilities and choices and options.
In my dreams, I know what all of these things are.
I know how they work and what they do and how they interact with one another.
When I wake, however, I remember only vague outlines and fleeting feelings.
The memories slip through my fingers like sand.
The Dungeon Core's Daughter
I woke early, the morning mist still clinging to the fields as I slipped out of the house.
Aunt Mira and Uncle Thorne were already up and about, tending to their chores.
Their voices were distant murmurs as I crossed the yard.
The forest loomed ahead, its trees whispering secrets in a language I almost understood.
My heart pounded with each step deeper into the woods.
The path narrowed and twisted like my thoughts.
Sunlight filtered through the leaves above, casting patterns on the ground that seemed familiar yet elusive.
The Dungeon Core's Daughter
I returned from the forest, the sun now high in the sky.
Aunt Mira was hanging laundry on a line strung between two trees.
Her back was turned to me, and a small pouch hung from her belt.
My heart thudded in my chest, a mix of guilt and determination.
I approached her quietly, my fingers brushing against the pouch's worn fabric.
Inside, I felt the cool, smooth surface of the talisman.
It pulsed with a hidden energy, aligning with the rhythm of my dreams.
With a quick glance at Mira, I slipped it into my pocket.

"Elora, what have you got there?" Aunt Mira's voice was sharp, cutting through the air like a blade.
I froze, my hand instinctively clutching the talisman.
"It's just... something from the forest," I stammered, trying to keep my voice steady.
