The Dragon Riders of Navarre

Scenario:Skylanders Academy x The Empyrean AU: When Eon (an old human wizard) found a freshly hatched Spyro, he hatched into a golden dragon with a feathered tail instead of his canon purple and orange design. When Spyro went into the dreamless sleep at 2, Eon deadass thought he'd killed Spyro. Spyro woke up eight weeks/two months later and looked like his canon design, but his drill-like tail is a sword tail instead, his eyes were still golden, and he was much bigger (about the size of an adolescent iridescent dragon). Spyro doesn’t communicate with anyone because he didn’t bond to anybody except mildly to Eon, so Eon knows what he says. His adolescent self is very VERY sassy. Spyro can’t fit inside the academy, so he’s often just resting outside on one of the incredibly large floating islands nearby the academy or in Eon’s yard. As an adolescent, Spyro gets hungry easily. The flocks of sheep must be hidden unless they were going to be killed anyway, and Jet-vac (a humanoid-bird) must watch his back in case Spyro is too hungry and sleepy to notice that Jet-vac isn’t a normal fucking bird. When Cynder comes to the Skylands, she is introduced to Spyro — who is at least quadruple her size as she is technically a kid dragon and Spyro is an adolescent. Cinder, having not been a feathertail, is a light purple with silver accents. When missions with large groups had to leave the Skylands to one of the outer islands, Spyro is used as transportation, but the teleporter devices are still the primary transportation in the Skylands. As an adolescent, Spyro’s attitude is like a moody teenager: ready to eat any ally that causes trouble and commonly growling when angered easily. Once, Spyro was hungry and accidentally insulted Jet-vac while asking Eon a question. Spyro: “Can Jet-vac carry a luminary?” Eon: “That question will insult him.” Spyro (truly doesn't care because he's hungry): “Can Jet-vac carry a luminary *while* being insulted?” Another time, Spyro had to stay behind because a mission was in a rather cold climate and his wings would not be able to bear the weight of the ice and snow fall. Jet-vac had told him this (Pop fizz made a device so Spyro can speak with anyone he'd like via telepathy) and Spyro responded with a mocking "Your wings won't hold the weight of this ice" followed by a sarcastic and rude "And yet yours miraculously carry the burden of your ego." Eruptor then told Spyro (via telepathy) "go find a sheep and let the adults work". By "go find a sheep" he told Spyro to find a sheep to eat. He said "let the adults work" even though they're all barely adults at 18-19, while Jet-vac is somewhere in the 40s or late 30s, pop fizz is in his early twenties, and Spyro is three (a teenager by dragon standards). One day, when Spyro is four, a group of dragon riders from outside the Skylands comes. They came from below the Skylands, far below, on true earth. They had come from a continent called Navarre and were searching for the seventh dragon breed --- of which would be the same species as one of the dragons in the group, Andarna. Spyro is very defensive to the newcomers as he sees the Skylands as his territory and no one else's. So, he's very defensive and shot fire toward the dragons and dragon riders in warning when they first flew into view from the academy. after Spyro got used to the other dragons in his territory Spyro and Andarna get along amazingly since they're the same age. The academy roof is magically reinforced to not collapse when a full adult dragon lays on it --- so Spyro sunbathes on the academy roof sometimes but not super often, maybe once every month and a half. Eventually, they find out that Spyro is part of the seventh breed. Spyro then changed his scale colour(irid dragons have reflective scales of any surface and they can basically choose their appearance) to be a shimmering deep dark purple to be a softer colour of Andarna's. Eon tells him through telepathy that he's not one of the dragons of the past (the kind that were corrupted by Strykore), though it was more of a question. Spyro said "No. But they are. And I so badly want to be just like them," referencing to the painted memorial of the species of drilltails(giving a name to Spyro's canon species, they're drilltails now) on the roof. The dragon riders and their dragons: Violet Sorrengail (Tairn[Sgaeyl's mate] [a black morningstartail] and Andarna[iridescent/irid scorpiontail) Xaden Riorson (Sgaeyl[Tairn's mate] [blue daggertail]) Mira Sorrengail (Teine [green clubtail]) Ridoc Gamlyn (Aotrom[brown swordtail]) Dain Aetos (Cath [Red swordtail]) Garrick Travis (Chradh[brown scorpiontail])

When I hatched, I was a little golden dragon with a drill tail that was feathered and golden and eyes that were golden too.
I don’t know if I looked like I should have, because I don’t know what I’m supposed to look like.
But I think I don’t look right.
When I went into my first sleep at two months old, the old wizard Eon thought he had killed me.
He didn’t.
He raised me from an egg he found in a cave, and he’s the only one I've ever met until now.
When I woke up after eight weeks, I looked like I should.
I was bigger, much bigger already, about the size of an adolescent version of one of the iridescent dragons that lived in the Skylands.
My drill tail was now a sword tail instead, and my eyes were still golden, but my scales were purple and orange like they should be.
I didn’t bond to anyone but Eon mildly, so nobody knows what I say.
Eon knows, though.
He’s the only one that can understand me.
I don’t talk to anyone else.
Not even the Skylanders.
I keep to myself and Eon knows it.
