A man wants to become rich so he makes a deal with the devil in return for him winning at the age of 24 the devil gets his soul
I made a deal with the devil that if he allows me to become rich and successful he will get my soul on my 24th birthday
Little did I know, the man with the charming smile and impeccable suit was none other than Lucifer himself, cloaked in the guise of a benevolent benefactor.
I thought it was just some eccentric rich guy who liked to make weird bets with poor college graduates.
But I knew something was off.
I knew that when he told me I could have anything I wanted, all I had to do was sign on the dotted line, and it would be mine, no questions asked, no strings attached.
I knew that wasn’t how the world worked.
But I was desperate.
The Devil's Bargain
I sat in a dimly lit room, staring at the contract.
My hands trembled as I gripped the pen.
Across from me, the Devil, disguised as a wealthy man, watched with a sly smile.
"Take your time, Michael," he said, his voice smooth and reassuring.
I hesitated, my mind racing through memories of my struggles and dreams.
Sarah's warnings echoed in my head. "Easy money comes with a price," she had said.
Lucas's taunts about my failures stung like fresh wounds. "You'll never make it, Trent. You're just not cut out for success."
Desperation clawed at my insides, gnawing away at my resolve.
I looked up at the Devil, his eyes gleaming with an unnatural light.
"What's the catch?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
"No catch," he replied, leaning back in his chair. "Just sign, and all your dreams will come true."
The Devil's Bargain
I glanced around the room, its shadows dancing ominously in the dim light.
The weight of my decision pressed down on me like a physical force.
I thought about my mother, struggling to pay bills after Dad left us.
I thought about the nights I spent studying by candlelight because we couldn't afford electricity.
I thought about all the times I had to swallow my pride and accept hand-me-downs and charity.
My grip tightened on the pen.
"What do I have to lose?" I muttered to myself.
The Devil's smile widened as if he heard my thoughts.
With a deep breath, I pressed the pen to the paper and signed my name.
The ink flowed smoothly, sealing my fate with each stroke of the pen.
As soon as I lifted the pen from the paper, a cold shiver ran down my spine.
The room darkened momentarily, and I felt a sense of dread wash over me.
The Devil's Bargain
The Devil's eyes gleamed with satisfaction. "Congratulations, Michael. You've made a wise choice."
Before I could respond, he vanished into thin air, leaving me alone in the dimly lit room.
A sense of triumph mingled with overwhelming dread settled in my chest.
I stood up slowly, feeling as though I had just crossed an invisible line that could never be uncrossed.
Suddenly, the door burst open and Sarah rushed in.
"Michael! What did you do?" she cried out, her eyes wide with panic.
"I... I signed it," I stammered.
Her face paled. "You fool! Do you know what you've done?"
Before I could answer, the lights flickered violently and then went out completely.
We were plunged into darkness.
A low growl echoed through the room.
"Michael," Sarah whispered urgently. "We need to get out of here."
But it was too late.
The Devil's Bargain
Sarah clung to me, her eyes wide with fear.
"What have you done, Michael?" she whispered, her voice trembling.
The growl grew louder, and the shadows took shape, revealing twisted faces and hollow eyes.
I stepped forward, trying to shield Sarah.
"I made a deal," I confessed, my voice shaking. "I didn't know it would come to this."
One of the figures lunged at me, its icy grip sending pain through my chest.
I gasped, feeling the cold seep into my bones.
Sarah screamed, her nails digging into my arm.
"Michael!" she cried out.
Suddenly, the door burst open and Lucas stormed in, wielding a flashlight.
"We need to get out of here!" he shouted over the growls and whispers of the spectral beings.
The beam of his flashlight cut through the darkness, momentarily dispersing the shadows.
"Come on!" Lucas urged, grabbing Sarah's hand.
I stumbled forward, clutching my chest where the ghost had touched me.
The pain was intense, but I forced myself to move.
We fought our way through the spectral onslaught, desperate to escape.
The Devil's Bargain
Lucas swung the flashlight wildly, its beam scattering the ghostly figures that tried to block our path.
"Keep moving!" he yelled.
We reached the hallway, but the shadows followed us, their twisted faces contorted with rage.
I could feel their icy presence closing in around us.
"Where do we go?" Sarah asked frantically.
"The basement," Lucas replied. "There's a way out through there."
We dashed down the stairs, the old wooden steps creaking under our weight.
The basement was dark and musty, filled with old furniture and cobwebs.
Lucas shone his flashlight around, searching for the exit.
"There!" he pointed to a small door at the far end of the room.
We ran towards it, but before we could reach it, more ghostly figures emerged from the walls.
Their hollow eyes glowed with malevolence.
"Get back!" Lucas shouted, swinging the flashlight at them.
I grabbed an old chair and swung it at one of the ghosts.
It passed right through it, but the force of my swing seemed to disrupt its form momentarily.
"Michael! The door!" Sarah screamed.
I turned and saw her struggling with the handle.
It was stuck.
"Hold on!" I rushed over and helped her pull on it with all our might.
The Devil's Bargain
Finally, it gave way and we tumbled through into a narrow passageway lined with stone walls.
Lucas followed us in and slammed the door shut behind him.
The growls and whispers were muffled but still audible from the other side.
"Keep going," Lucas urged. "This passage leads outside."
We hurried down the narrow corridor, our footsteps echoing off the stone walls.
The air was damp and cold.
After what felt like an eternity, we saw a faint light ahead.
"Almost there," Lucas said breathlessly.
We emerged into an overgrown garden behind an old mansion.
The moonlight cast eerie shadows across the ground.
"We need to keep moving," Lucas said. "They won't stop until they have what they came for."
"What do they want?" Sarah asked, her voice shaking.
"They want me," I said quietly. "It's my soul they're after."
Lucas nodded grimly. "Then we need to find a way to break this deal."
"But how?" I asked desperately. "How do you break a deal with the devil?"
"We'll figure it out," Lucas said firmly. "But first we need to get somewhere safe."
We started running again, heading towards a dense forest at the edge of the property.
The Devil's Bargain
My heart pounded in my chest, the sense of dread growing stronger as I felt the Devil’s presence closing in.
Sarah clutched my arm tightly, her eyes wide with fear.
"Michael, what if they catch us?" she whispered, her voice trembling.
"We won't let that happen," Lucas said, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of safety.
"We need to keep moving."
The fog swirled around us, obscuring our vision and making it difficult to see more than a few feet ahead.
The trees were tall and gnarled, their branches reaching out like skeletal fingers.
The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves.
Suddenly, a dark figure emerged from the mist, blocking our path.
It was a spectral guardian, sent by the Devil to stop us.
Its form was shadowy and indistinct, but its eyes glowed with an unnatural light.
"Get back!" Lucas shouted, grabbing a fallen branch from the ground and swinging it at the apparition.
The branch passed through the figure harmlessly, as if it were made of smoke.
"It's no use," I said, realizing that physical attacks wouldn't work against this supernatural foe.
"We need to find that ancient ritual site. It's the only way to break the pact."
The Devil's Bargain
"But where is it?" Sarah asked desperately, her grip on my arm tightening.
"I don't know," I admitted. "But we have to keep looking."
We moved cautiously around the spectral guardian, keeping our distance as we continued deeper into the forest.
The fog grew thicker, making it difficult to see more than a few feet ahead.
Every rustle of leaves and snap of twigs set my nerves on edge.
"Look!" Lucas pointed ahead to a faint glow in the distance.
"That might be it."
We hurried towards the light, hoping it would lead us to the ritual site.
As we approached, we saw a clearing in the forest with a circle of ancient stones arranged in a pattern on the ground.
In the center of the circle was an altar covered in strange symbols.
"This has to be it," I said, feeling a glimmer of hope for the first time since this nightmare began.
"What do we do now?" Sarah asked, her voice still shaking.
"We need to perform the ritual," Lucas said. "There should be instructions somewhere around here."
We searched the area frantically, looking for any clues that might tell us how to break the pact.
Finally, I found an old book hidden beneath one of the stones.
Its pages were yellowed with age and filled with cryptic symbols and diagrams.
"Here!" I called out. "I think this is it."
Lucas took the book from me and quickly scanned its contents.
The Devil's Bargain
"Alright," he said. "We need to gather some items for the ritual: a piece of iron, a sprig of rosemary, and a drop of blood from each of us."
"Where are we supposed to find those things?" Sarah asked incredulously.
"We'll have to improvise," Lucas replied. "Look around. There has to be something we can use."
We spread out and began searching the clearing for anything that might help us complete the ritual.
I found an old horseshoe buried in the dirt – that would serve as our piece of iron.
Sarah discovered a wild rosemary bush growing near the edge of the clearing.
"Got it!" she called out triumphantly.
Lucas pulled out a small knife from his pocket and made a shallow cut on his palm.
He handed me the knife and I did the same, wincing as I drew blood.
Sarah followed suit, her hands trembling as she held out her palm.
With all three items gathered, Lucas placed them on the altar according to the instructions in the book.
He began chanting in a language I didn't understand, his voice steady and confident despite our dire situation.
The air around us seemed to hum with energy as he spoke.
The fog thickened even more until we could barely see each other.
Then suddenly, there was a blinding flash of light followed by an ear-piercing scream.
