I woke up and it was a normal morning.
Husk was drinking his alcohol and angel dust was flirting with him.
Vaggie and charile were chilling, hunter was on her phone, niffty was cleaning and stabbing bugs with a tooth pick.
Alastor was drinking tea and Lucifer was making rubber ducks.
I got up and put on some clothes, went downstairs and said good morning to everyone.
"Morning hun," charile said with a smile.
"Morning charile," I said as I sat down at the bar next to vaggie.
"What's up hun?"
Vaggie asked me with a smile.
"Not much, just ready to get out of here," I said as husk handed me a beer.
"Thanks husk."
"No problem," husk said as he sat next to me.
Husk is a deer/wendgo demon from hazbin hotel.
He has brown eyes and black hair, he is an alcoholic, he is owned by alastor and he HATES people that lie/fake and he can be cold but he is sweet once you get to know him and he is very life smart, he also gives great tips/advice and he swears a lot.
He is also a boy.
"Are you okay hun?"
Vaggie asked me with a smile.
"Yeah I'm fine," I said as I took a sip of my beer.
"Are you sure?"
Vaggie asked with a smile.
The Demon's Redemption
Angel dust was staring at husk's cat ears twitching.
He took another sip of his beer and watched husk's tail swish back and forth as he wiped down the counter, deliberately avoiding angel's gaze.
Angel dust leaned closer to husk, running a finger along the fur covering his arm.
Husk bristled visibly, his claws gripping the cleaning rag tighter.
"Back off, ya damn spider," he growled.
The Demon's Redemption
I hid my smirk behind my bottle as angel dust continued to try and get a reaction out of husk, now playing with the tuft of fur on his chest.
Husk finally snapped, slamming his drink down with a force that silenced the room.
I flinched, my body going rigid as the glass shattered against the counter.
The sound of breaking glass and spilled alcohol brought back a rush of memories that made my heart race and my palms sweat.
Angel dust backed away from husk, his playful demeanor dropping like a mask.
The room fell dead silent, the only sound husk's heavy breathing and the alcohol dripping off the edge of the counter.
My hands started to tremble and I gripped the edge of the bar to steady myself.
The Demon's Redemption
Charlie took a cautious step toward me, but I raised a hand to stop her.
The last thing I needed was someone hovering over me.
My vision began to blur and the familiar panic clawed at my chest.
I forced myself to take a few deep breaths, focusing on the sensation of the cool air moving in and out of my lungs.
My hands continued to shake and I fought to keep myself under control.
The worried faces around me only made things worse.
Charlie's concerned expression, angel's guilty look, husk's anger morphing into regret.
The shattered glass glinted mockingly on the counter, each fragment a painful reminder of the past.
I couldn't let them see me break down, couldn't handle their pity or questions.
The shadows around me started to writhe like restless snakes, responding to my distress.
"Hey, it's okay," Vaggie said softly, stepping closer.
"None of us are perfect, and we've all got our demons."
The Demon's Redemption
Husk sighed, his voice gruff but sincere. "Yeah, and sometimes those demons just need a good smack upside the head."
I forced out a weak chuckle, trying to brush off the lingering fear.
The shadows around me continued to writhe, betraying my inner turmoil.
"I'm fine," I muttered, avoiding their worried stares.
Husk opened his mouth to say something, but before he could speak, I focused my energy and teleported directly to my room.
The familiar surroundings and comforting scent of old books helped ease my racing heart.
The Demon's Redemption
The memory of shattering glass still lingered, but I pushed it aside, focusing on the present moment.
A knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts, and I hesitated before answering.
"Hey, it's just me," Charlie's voice came through softly. "I wanted to make sure you're really okay."
I sighed, knowing she wouldn't leave until she got an answer.
"I'm fine," I said, my voice still a little shaky.
"Just need some time to myself."
Charlie nodded, her expression understanding.
"Alright, just wanted to check in. If you need anything, let me know."
I nodded, grateful for her concern but relieved when she left me alone.
The rest of the day passed in a haze of avoidance.
I spent most of it ducking into empty rooms whenever I heard footsteps, not wanting to run into anyone and have them ask how I was doing.
By nightfall, the tension was starting to get to me.
I grabbed my pack of cigarettes and headed for the hotel's balcony, hoping some fresh air would help clear my head.
The balcony was wide enough that I could sit on the thick stone railing, my legs dangling over the edge.
The Demon's Redemption
The cool night air hit my face as I lit up, inhaling deeply.
