[Wide shot of the park]
Emma sits quietly on a bench, her backpack beside her. Luke is tossing a football (or ball) with two of his friends, their laughter echoing across the park.
[Close-up of Emma’s hands, fidgeting nervously.]
Emma (Voiceover):
“It wasn’t always like this. He used to make me feel like I was his entire world. Now, I’m just… here. Invisible.”

Emma:
“Thanks. People don’t really do that anymore.”
Evelyn (grinning):
“What, help someone out? Guess that makes me one of a kind.”
Emma (smiling faintly):
“Yeah, I guess it does.”
[They both sit down at a nearby table(or stand ).Emma flips through the book.]
Evelyn :
“So, what’s so special about this one?”
Emma:
“It’s my favorite. I’ve read it a dozen times, but… sometimes you just need something familiar, you know?”
Evelyn (thoughtfully):
“Yeah. Like an old song that makes everything feel okay for a little while.”
Emma looks at her, surprised by his understanding. They share a small, genuine smile.
Scene 3: Hanging Out – Emma and Evelyn
Setting: A creekside trail. The sun is setting, casting a warm glow over the scene.(Chickasaw park )

Emma:
“That was terrible! I thought you said you were good at this.”
Evelyn (mock offended):
“Hey, I never said I was good. I said I was decent. Big difference.”
[Close-up of Emma smiling, more carefree than we’ve seen her.]
Evyln (sitting down on the grass):
“So… Luke, huh? He doesn’t seem like he deserves you.”
Emma (sitting beside him):
“It’s not like that. He’s just… busy. He has his own stuff going on.”
Ethan (quietly):
“Doesn’t sound like he makes you happy, though.”
Emma doesn’t respond, staring at the water. Ethan looks at her, hesitant, then speaks softly.
Evelyn :
“You deserve someone who sees you. All of you.”
Emma (whispering):
“Maybe. But sometimes I feel like I don’t even see myself.”
Evelyn gently nudges her shoulder, breaking the tension.
Evelyn:
“Well, I see you. And I think you’re pretty awesome.”
Emma glances at her, her expression softening.
Emma:
“Thanks, Evelyn. For… everything.”
Scene 4: Confrontation
Setting: Emma’s bedroom. Luke paces angrily while Emma sits on the edge of her bed.
(Or at a picnic or meetup somewhere )
Luke:
“I saw you with her again. What’s her deal?”
Emma:
“She’s my friend, Luke. That’s all.”
Ethan:
“You don’t need another friend. You have me.”
Emma (standing up)(hesitatent at first):
“Do I? Because lately, it feels like I don’t. You’re always somewhere else, doing something else. And I’m just… waiting.”
Ethan(softening briefly)(basically kind of ashamly) :
“I’ve been busy, Emma. You know that.”
He pauses, his tone turning cold again.
Ethan:
“But if you want this to work, you’ll cut her off.”
Emma (shaking her head):
“Why is it always about what you want? What about me?”
Ethan:
“This is about you. About us. Do you want to throw all of this away for some random girl?”
Emma looks torn, blinking back tears.
Emma (whispering):
“No… I don’t.”
Luke leaves and Emma breaks down crying (music starts playing /transition )
Scene 5: Final Goodbye
Setting: A quiet park bench at sunset. Emma meets Evelyn one last time.
[Wide shot of Evelyn sitting on the bench, looking up as Emma approaches.]
Emma:
“I can’t see you anymore.”
Evelyn :
“You’re serious?”
Emma nods, her voice trembling.
Emma:
“Ethan doesn’t want me to.”
Evelyn :
“And what do you want?”
Emma hesitates, her eyes welling up.
Emma:
“I don’t know.”
Evelyn :
“You deserve more than this.”
Emma wipes her face, her voice barely audible.
Emma:
“I don’t think I know how to take it.”
Ethan stands, looking at her with quiet intensity.
Ethan:
“Then I hope someday you figure it out. Because you’re worth it, Emma. Even if you don’t see it yet.”
Scene 6: Ending – Regret
Setting: Emma’s bedroom, dimly lit. She sits alone on her bed, holding a photo of her and Evelyn taken at the creek.
Emma (Voiceover):
“I made my choice. And now, I live with it every day.”
The camera pans to the photo in her hand, crumpled and tear-stained. The screen fades to black as soft, l music swells.

I used to feel like I belonged.
Like I was home.
Luke made me feel that way.
He made me feel special and loved.
But now, it feels like I’m just going through the motions.
I sit on a bench at the park, watching him play with his friends, laughing and smiling and completely ignoring me.
It’s not always like this.
There used to be a time when I felt like I was the center of his world.
When he would look at me like I was the only girl on Earth.
Like I was his entire universe.
Now, it feels like I’m just… here.
Luke glances over at me, then turns back to his friends, completely dismissing me.
I force a small smile, hoping he’ll come over and talk to me after the game, maybe even walk home with me.
But he stays with his friends, and I sit alone on the bench, watching the sun set behind him.
Maybe someday he’ll see that I need more from him.
That I deserve more.
"Need some help?"
A voice startles me from my thoughts.
I glance up to see Evelyn standing beside me at the library the next day.
She holds out the book I had tried to reach earlier, a smile on her face.
"Thanks," I say, taking it from her.
"You’re welcome. People don’t really do that anymore."
Evelyn sits beside me at the table, flipping through the book in my lap.
"What drew you to this one?"
I shrug.
