I was checking out a few things at the office when my phone rang.
I smiled as I saw who was calling, and I quickly picked up.
"Hey, man," I said.
"Sebastian, what’s up?" the other voice said.
It was Landon Warner, my best friend and business partner at Warner & Winston Financials.
"Not much, just busy with work at Winston Enterprises. How about you?"
I asked.
"Same here. But I was calling to ask if you’ll be coming over at my place this evening? We have a lot to talk about, and I also want you to meet someone," he said.
"Sure, I’ll try my best. But I still have a few things to finish here. Is it okay if I come around 7 pm?"
I asked.

"Sure, that’s fine. I’ll see you then," he said.
I hung up the phone and decided to stay in the office for a while.
The evening was still young, and I had a lot of work to do.
I focused on the stack of reports in front of me, and soon the clock struck six.
The office was quiet now, with only the hum of computers and the distant sounds of the city outside.
I was lost in my work when I heard a knock on my door.
I looked up to see Emily standing there, her smile bright and her eyes shining with ambition.
"Working late, Mr. Winston?" she asked.
"Just finishing up," I replied.
She lingered for a moment, her gaze drifting over me before she nodded and turned to leave.
"Goodnight, Mr. Winston," she said as she walked away.
I watched her go, wondering what had brought her here tonight.

But I didn’t have time to dwell on it for long.
I grabbed my coat and headed out, eager to see what Landon had in store.
As I arrived at his place, he greeted me with a grin and a firm handshake.
"Sebastian, meet Claire," Landon said, gesturing to the woman beside him. "She's the new head of our investment division, and she has some groundbreaking ideas that could change everything for us."

I nodded, intrigued, and extended my hand to Claire.
"Nice to meet you," I said, taking in her sharp eyes and confident smile.
Landon gestured for us to sit down, and we settled into his plush leather couch.
"So, Claire," I began, "what are your thoughts on our company?"
I asked, eager to hear her vision.
She leaned forward, her voice steady and confident as she outlined her strategy for growth and innovation.
Landon listened intently, his usual humor replaced by a serious expression of interest.
As she finished speaking, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation.
