male. He is a high school student who falls in love with a cat girl. He is romantic,determined,and naive. Kaito meets the cat girl at a shrine and becomes smitten,deciding to confess his feelings. Despite initial misunderstandings,they share a romantic moment under the cherry blossoms. Kaito's love for her remains strong,even when she disappears after their encounter. He searches for her everywhere,hoping to find her again.
Mai Tanaka
female. She is Kaito's childhood friend and classmate. She is supportive,caring,and straightforward. Mai helps Kaito navigate his feelings for Nekoko and provides emotional support during his search for her. Despite being aware of Kaito's infatuation with Nekoko,Mai remains loyal to him as a friend.
Nekoko
female. She is a mysterious cat girl with supernatural abilities. She is playful,enigmatic,and affectionate. Nekoko meets Kaito at a shrine and initially teases him with her catlike behavior. She reveals her true form as a beautiful girl and shares a romantic moment with Kaito under the cherry blossoms. After their encounter,she disappears without explanation,leaving Kaito searching for her.

"Nekoko" means "cat girl" in Japanese.

I don’t know what she is or how to find her again, but I am willing to risk everything to make her mine.
Mai asks me if I am okay, and I tell her I am fine.
Yesterday, after Nekoko and I had our moment together, I went home and couldn’t stop thinking about her.
