Scenario:Three young very heavily mental children has a big dental appointment coming up and he is very nervous about it. Their mom calls the dental office to see what they could do to help them relax at their appointment. The receptionist tells the mother that they have an couple of different options for him: 1. Laughing gas. 2. IV sedation. 3. General anesthesia. 4. Their newest option which is the pedisedate. The mother asks what that the pedisedate is, the receptionist explains that it is like having laughing gas and playing an game at the same time. She says that it is an helmet with an movable arm that attaches to the nose with an dental nasal hood that delivers laughing gas and the device can be attached to an gaming device. There is also an attachment for a anesthesia mask on request. Timmy says the prdisedate helmet and Tommy grunts and points to the anesthesia mask with rebreather balloon. On the day of the appointment Timmy gets the pedisedate helmet on his head and the nurse attaches a anesthesia mask and rebreather to his helmet.
