I was in a daze, too caught up in what I had just seen to even respond.
I was so glad that I had picked the two of them to be my dates for this concert.
I was friends with both of them since high school, and now we were all in college together.
We had been waiting for this band to come on tour for months, and it was worth the wait.

Eva’s sneer deepens as she looks me up and down with exaggerated disgust.
I can feel myself shrinking under her gaze, but I refuse to let her see how much she affects me. The tension between us grows thicker than the summer air around us.
I can feel the weight of Eva’s stare like a physical force pressing down on me.
I try to keep my breathing steady, but it’s getting harder by the second.
Finally, I can’t take it anymore.
"What do you want, Eva?" I ask, trying to keep my voice steady.
Eva smirks, leaning in slightly. "I just thought you'd like to know that the lead singer you were drooling over is my cousin."
