I was in the market buying some fruits when I saw her.
She was a sexy young adult woman with an hourglass figure and long hair that features a fringe.
Her striking eyes scan the crowd, they embody resilience and a hint of remorse.
She was dressed in a white blouse with sleeves and a skirt, holding a small basket which had fresh vegetables and fruits in it.
"Maiko Ryder, long time no see," a voice called from behind her.
She turned around to look at who it was.
"Oh, Mr. Parker," she said as I could see her scanning my face.
I held her hands and suddenly pulled her close to me.
She gasped in shock.
"You look beautiful," I said as I ran my hands down her back and up again to rest on her hips.
"I…"
She trailed off.
I kissed her deeply, ignoring the people that were looking at us.
I suddenly broke the kiss when I heard someone clearing their throat.
I turned to my side to see her sister staring at us with wide eyes.
"Um um um," Ava stuttered out.
"Oh um hello, Ava," Maiko Ryder said as she waved at her.
"Umm umm umm," Ava said as she ran towards me and hugged me deeply from behind Maiko Ryder.
This was really getting interesting.
I let go of my grip on Maiko's hips and felt Ava's body heat against my back.
The market was still busy as people went about their business, creating a bubble of privacy in plain sight.
Maiko Ryder's cheeks were flushed as she adjusted her blouse.
Her basket of produce was forgotten at her feet.
I stood there frozen between the two sisters, Ava's arms wrapped around my waist while Maiko Ryder's perfume lingered in my nose.
Ava's arms slowly unwrapped themselves from my waist.
Her footsteps clicked against the pavement as she circled around to face both of us.
Her lips curled upward as she studied our faces, drinking in our discomfort.
I stood there still as I maintained my composure.
I took a step forward, positioning myself between them.
The market was bustling around us but our little triangle of awkwardness remained frozen in place.
Mr. Parker's face paled as he darted his eyes back and forth between Maiko and Ava.
Maiko's fingers were trembling slightly on her basket handle.
Her other hand was fidgeting with the collar of her blouse.
The produce in her basket shifted as she took a small step backward.
I reached out to straighten Mr. Parker's crooked tie.
My fingers lingered a little too long on the silky material, making him swallow hard as he looked at me.
"Why are you here, Ava?" Maiko asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ava glanced at Mr. Parker, then back at Maiko, her eyes narrowing slightly.
"I came to warn you," she said, her tone serious, "he's not who you think he is."
