I, Elizabeth Hart, am a genius honor student.
My rival, Anne Wilson, has pictures of my boyfriend and me doing the deed.
She's blackmailing me to act like a total bimbo for the next two months or she'll give the pics to my principal.
If that happens, I'll lose my scholarship.
Anne's going to check in with me every Friday to make sure I'm complying and to give me new instructions on what she wants me to do next.
If I don't do exactly as she says, she'll send the pics to the principal.
She threatens to tell everyone I'm doing this of my own free will and that I'm her slave.
The first thing she tells me to do is to dress provocatively.
I start with a white top, a blue skirt, and fishnet stockings.
I'm self-conscious walking out the door and flashbacks of everyone's reactions run through my head.
My mom gives me a look of disapproval as I pass her in the kitchen, but my dad doesn't notice me as I slip past him in the family room.
When I get to school, everyone looks at me.
I walk into the school building and head straight to my locker.
I'm wearing a white top that's a little too tight and a skirt that's a little too short.
I feel like everyone is staring at me, and I'm self-conscious about how exposed I am.
I grab my books and slam my locker shut, then head to my first class.
As I walk down the hallway, I notice people looking at me.
I try to ignore it and focus on getting to class.
When I get to the classroom, I see my usual group of nerdy friends sitting in the back corner.
They're all laughing and talking, but when they see me, they stop.
They stare at me for a minute, their faces confused and then disgusted.
Tim, the leader of the group, gets up and walks over to me.
"Elizabeth, what are you doing?" he asks coldly.
"I... uh... I just wanted to try something new," I say nervously.
"Well, you look ridiculous. You're making a mockery of our academic circle," he says with disdain.
"I'm sorry," I say, feeling humiliated.
"You need to leave. We don't want anything to do with a bimbo like you," he says, his voice dripping with disgust. "But... but we're friends," I say, feeling hurt.
"Not anymore," he says coldly.
He turns around and walks back to his friends, who are all staring at me with confusion and disgust.
I turn away from them and start walking down the hallway towards the local cafe where Mark and Sarah hang out.
I walk into the local cafe, still trying to process what just happened with my friends.
I'm not sure what to think or how to feel.
I'm just glad to be out of that uncomfortable situation.
As I walk in, I notice Mark sitting at a table near the back.
He's wearing his letterman jacket and has a few of his sports equipment laid out on the table in front of him.
He waves me over and smiles at me.
I make my way over to the table and sit down in one of the chairs.
"Hey, Elizabeth," Mark says, looking at me with concern.
"What's up?"
I ask him, trying to play it cool.
"Just getting ready for practice," he says, gesturing to the equipment on the table.
He's got a few water bottles, some athletic tape, and a pair of cleats laid out next to his backpack.
"It looks like you've got everything you need," I say, smiling slightly.
"Yeah, I think so," he says, glancing down at his stuff.
"I'm pretty sure I've got all the essentials."
Just then, Sarah walks in and joins us at the table.
She's wearing her cheerleading outfit and looks really cute.
"Hey guys," she says, smiling at us as she takes a seat next to Mark.
"Hey Sarah," I say, smiling back at her.
She looks at me for a minute and then turns her attention to Mark.
"So Mark, what's going on?" she asks him. "Not much," he says, shrugging his shoulders.
"Just getting ready for practice."
"Oh okay," she says, smiling at him again.
"I was hoping we could hang out today."
"Sorry Sarah, but I've got practice in a few minutes," he tells her apologetically.
"Oh okay," she says again, looking disappointed.
"Well maybe we can hang out later then?"
"Definitely," he says, smiling back at her.
"I'll text you later."
"Sounds good," she says, smiling again before turning her attention back to me.
"So Elizabeth, how are you doing today?"
"I'm doing alright," I say, smiling slightly.
"A little stressed out about practice though."
"Oh yeah? What's stressing you out?"
Sarah asks me sympathetically.
"Just some things with my friends," I tell her honestly.
"What happened?"
Mark asks curiously.
"My friends aren't talking to me right now," I tell them honestly.
"Why not?" he asks me.
"I'm not sure," I say, shrugging my shoulders.
"They just don't want to hang out with me anymore."
"Well that's their loss," Sarah says, smiling at me.
"You're a great person and you deserve better friends."
"Thanks Sarah," I say, smiling back at her.
Mark gets up and goes to the counter to order us some coffee.
While he's gone, Sarah looks at me curiously.
"Hey Elizabeth, what's with the outfit?" she asks me.
I look down at what I'm wearing and shrug my shoulders.
"I just wanted to try something new," I tell her honestly.
"Oh yeah? Well it looks really good on you," she says, smiling at me.
"Thanks Sarah," I say again.
Mark comes back over with our coffee and sets it down on the table in front of us.
He takes his seat next to Sarah and smiles at me. "So Elizabeth, what made you decide to try something new?" he asks me curiously.
I look at him for a minute before answering.
"I'm just trying to mix things up a bit," I tell him honestly.
"You know, try something different."
"That's cool," he says, smiling back at me.
Sarah nods in agreement and smiles too.
"So Elizabeth, where did you get this outfit?"
Sarah asks me curiously.
I look at her for a minute before answering.
"I went on this amazing shopping spree at the mall! Studying is so boring, you know?"
I giggle and twirl around in my seat to show off my outfit.
Mark raises an eyebrow but doesn't say anything judgmental.
Sarah claps her hands excitedly and smiles at me.
"That sounds like so much fun! We should go shopping together sometime."
"Actually, I could use some company next time," I say, trying to keep my voice light.
"I like the new Elizabeth," Sarah says, smiling at me.
"You look really cute."
Mark nods in agreement and starts strumming his guitar.
I smile back at her, feeling a little self-conscious about what I'm wearing.
"I think we should go shopping again soon," she says, looking at me thoughtfully.
"Maybe we can even get you some more clothes that fit your new style."
"That sounds great," I say, smiling back at her.
She smiles and nods before getting up and grabbing her backpack.
"Let's go now!"
I nod and grab my own backpack before following her out of the cafe.
We walk to the local mall and head straight to one of Sarah's favorite stores.
It's a trendy boutique that sells all sorts of fashion-forward clothing.
Sarah loves it because they have a wide selection of skirts and dresses that are perfect for cheerleading.
I've never been in here before, but I'm excited to see what they have.
As soon as we walk in, Sarah starts grabbing different outfits off the racks and holding them up against me.
She's trying to find the perfect outfit for me, but I'm not sure what she's looking for. "What do you think?" she asks me, holding up a black skirt with a matching top.
"It looks nice," I say, smiling at her.
"But I'm not sure if it's really my style."
"Oh come on! You're so cute when you dress like this," she says, smiling at me encouragingly.
"Just try it on. It'll be fun!"
I nod and take the outfit from her before heading into the dressing room to try it on.
When I come out, Sarah is waiting for me with a big smile on her face.
"Oh my gosh! That looks amazing on you!" she exclaims, clapping her hands together excitedly.
"You look so cute!"
I blush and smile back at her, feeling happy that she likes the outfit.
We walk through the mall, taking in all the sights and sounds.
As we pass by an ice cream stand, Sarah grabs my arm and pulls me over.
"Let's get some ice cream!" she exclaims, her eyes shining with excitement.
I look at the different flavors behind the glass, trying to decide what I want.
The ice cream man looks at us curiously as we stand there, taking in our outfits.
I'm wearing a white top that's a little too tight and a skirt that's a little too short.
Sarah is wearing a black skirt and a matching top that shows off her figure nicely.
We both have on fishnet stockings and high heels that click on the floor as we move around.
The ice cream man raises an eyebrow at us, but he doesn't say anything.
"Two cones please," Sarah says, smiling at him sweetly.
"What flavors would you like?"
"I'll have strawberry," she says, looking at me for a minute. "Vanilla," I say, smiling back at her.
The ice cream man nods and starts making our cones.
As he hands them to us, Sarah takes a lick of hers and smiles at me.
"You have to take small licks," she says, demonstrating how to do it.
"It's part of the bimbo aesthetic."
I nod and take a small lick of my own cone.
It tastes so good!
I can't believe how much I've been missing out on by not eating ice cream more often.
As we walk away from the stand, I notice a group of boys from school walking towards us.
They're all wearing letterman jackets and look like they're on their way to practice. As they get closer, they start doing double-takes when they see me.
I can tell they're surprised by my new look and are trying not to stare too much.
Sarah notices them looking at us and smiles mischievously.
She links her arm through mine and starts walking faster towards them.
When we get close enough, she gives them all big smiles and waves hello.
They wave back at us and smile, looking happy to see us.
As we pass by them, I notice one of the boys staring at me intently.
He looks familiar somehow, but I can't quite place where I've seen him before.
Sarah notices me looking at him and smiles knowingly.
