I was about to get married to my fiancée.
It was a beautiful day out, the birds were singing, the flowers were blooming, the sun was shining, and everything was just perfect.
My bride-to-be was even more beautiful than all those things combined.

The only problem with all of this was that my soon-to-be wife did not love me.
She did not want me.

Their secret affair had been going on for quite some time now, and I had no single clue about it.
In fact, I had been so busy with my business and other things that I had not even noticed how distant Emily had been acting in the past few months.
I had just assumed it was because of the wedding preparations and her being a little stressed out.
I had no idea that my bride-to-be was cheating on me with my twin brother.
The wedding was just a week away, and we were at the mansion's garden, checking out the flower arrangements that were going to be used for the wedding.
Emily's phone kept buzzing nonstop, and she would occasionally glance at it and then put it back into her purse.
She finally excused herself, telling me that she needed to go to the bathroom and would be right back.
She walked off, holding her phone tightly in her hand.
I watched her go into the greenhouse.
I followed her discreetly, trying not to be seen.
I got close enough to hear their conversation.
They were talking over the phone, but it sounded like they were both in the same room because of how clear their voices were coming through. "I can't wait till next week," Emily's voice came from inside the greenhouse.
"I am dying to see you. It has been too long."
"I know, baby girl. I miss you so much. I miss holding you in my arms," Ethan's voice replied from the phone's speaker.
"Are you sure that your brother won't suspect anything?" she asked him.
"Not a chance. He has no idea about us," Ethan replied confidently.
"You are sure about this?"
Emily asked again.
"I am positive. My brother is too busy with his business to notice anything."
"Okay then," Emily said softly.
"When are we leaving for Vegas? When are we getting married?"
"We will get married as soon as we can after your wedding with Sebastian," Ethan replied.
"You are sure that your brother will not find out?"
Emily asked again.
"Yes, baby girl. Now stop worrying about it. We have been over this before," Ethan said impatiently.
"Okay," Emily said softly again, sounding a little disappointed now.
"Hey, don't be sad. I love you so much. I promise you that."
"I love you too."
I heard them both whispering sweet nothings into each other's ears as they talked on the phone.
My hands were shaking as I listened to their conversation.
My fiancée was planning to run away with my twin brother after our wedding?
That was insane!
How could they do this to me?
I stepped into the greenhouse, unable to hold back any longer.
"Emily, how could you?" I demanded, my voice trembling with a mix of anger and betrayal.
She spun around, her eyes wide with shock, "Sebastian, I—it's not what it looks like."
She stumbled backward, knocking over a flower display as she fell against the wooden table behind her.
A ceramic pot fell from the table and shattered into pieces on the greenhouse floor.
I advanced toward her, my hands still shaking with rage, gripping the edge of a wooden table beside me.
Emily opened her mouth to speak, but I cut her off before she could say a word.
