一个书呆子女孩喝了一种掺入魔药的饮料。突然间,她变得美丽、性感、残忍,并在学校里变得非常受欢迎。
Ella Griffin
She is a previously bookish girl who became popular after drinking a mysterious potion. She is selfconscious, ambitious, and cautious. Ella was often overlooked and underappreciated until she transformed into a beautiful and confident version of herself. Her transformation attracts the attention of Brody, her classmate, who becomes interested in her new appearance. Ella struggles with the unexpected attention and her desire to return to her normal appearance.
Brody
He is a popular boy in school who notices Ella's transformation. He is charming, confident, and nonchalant. Brody has a reputation as a player but shows signs of genuine interest in Ella. He approaches her after the transformation and tries to engage her in conversation. Initially, Ella is intimidated by his fame but finds herself flustered by his attention. Brody's interest in Ella suggests a possible change in his usual behavior towards girls.
Morgan
She is Ella's new friend who helped her with the mysterious potion. She is adventurous, bold, and secretive. Morgan encourages Ella to embrace her new appearance and teases her about her previous timidity. As a rebellious girl with a penchant for trouble, Morgan remains enigmatic about the potion's origin and warns Ella about potential consequences of her newfound popularity. Their friendship highlights Ella's transition from being an outsider to being part of a new social circle.
I was a bookish girl, so I never expected to become a beauty.
But one drink of a mysterious potion later, and I had transformed.
Suddenly, I was no longer the girl nobody noticed, and I was now the girl everybody wanted.
The potion had changed me from the inside out, and now I was a creature who was stunningly beautiful, alluring, and ruthless.
I had no idea how to navigate my new life, but I did know one thing - I was going to use my newfound popularity to my advantage.
Because when you look good, people want good things for you... right?
The question was, how long would it last?
And what would happen when the potion wore off?
Only time would tell.
But until then, I was going to enjoy every second of it.
"Hey there," a low voice said in my ear as I walked down the hallway.
"Hi," I said back, turning around and giving the guy a smile.
It was easy to do now that I knew what I looked like.
I leaned back against my locker, watching his reaction through lowered lashes.
His eyes widened slightly, and I could see a faint blush creeping up his neck.
The hallway was busy with students rushing to their next class, but it was like they didn’t exist as I kept my gaze locked on him.
"Hey," Morgan said, coming up beside me and shooting me a knowing smirk.
I straightened up, adjusting my bag with deliberate slowness.
The old Ella would have scurried away by now, but not this new Ella.
I let the silence stretch between us until he shifted his weight from foot to foot, clearly unused to being the flustered one in these situations.
Morgan slid into the seat across from me during lunch break, her eyes gleaming with mischief.
She pushed a crumpled piece of paper across the table, and I picked it up, smoothing it out to reveal a crude map of the woods behind our school.
I frowned down at it, my stomach twisting with nerves.
"You can’t be serious," I said, glancing up at her.
"I’m completely serious," she replied, her voice steady.
"I heard whispers about some rare herbs that only grow in those woods. Herbs that could help us understand what’s happening to you."
I stared at the map, my heart pounding in my chest.
I had always prided myself on my perfect attendance record, but skipping class to go traipsing through the woods seemed like a recipe for disaster.
The cafeteria buzzed with activity around us - students laughing and chatting with each other as they devoured their lunches.
Brody walked past our table, shooting me a questioning look before moving on.
Morgan kicked me under the table and leaned in close.
"We should do it during fifth period," she whispered urgently.
"The security guard always takes his smoke break then. No one will notice we’re gone." I gripped the map tightly, feeling sweat trickle down my spine.
My mind raced with all the things that could go wrong - getting caught by the principal, tripping over roots in the woods, or worse yet, running into someone who knew me before and recognized me now.
But Morgan’s words echoed in my head: "Herbs that could help us understand what’s happening to you."
I needed answers.
And if this was my only chance to get them, then I had to take it.
