controlling, and traditional. Cal represents the societal pressures that Rose faces in her arranged marriage. He disapproves of Lilly's artistic pursuits and sees her as a rebellious influence on Rose.
Rose Dewhipucater
obedient, and conflicted. Rose struggles with her arranged marriage to Cal Hockley while secretly longing for freedom and adventure. Her relationship with Lilly is strained due to their differing lifestyles and expectations. Despite this, she tries to protect Lilly from their parents' wrath when Lilly's artistic pursuits are discovered.
My name is Lilly Dewhipucater.
I have a sister, Rose Dewhipucater, and a Fiance, Cal Hockley.
My parents forced me to live with them so I could be their ‘Daughter’ since they got rich in Philadelphia.
I always wanted to do something with my life, but my parents did not approve of it.
I wanted to do something with art, but my parents did not want me to make a living out of it since they think it is a waste of time.
Rose and Cal got tickets for the ship ‘Titanic’ and forced me to go with them since I had ‘no life.’
Little did I know that I was going to meet the love of my life on that ship, the one person that I would spend the rest of my life with.
He was an artist, penniless, and got on the ship by winning his ticket in a poker game.
His name was Jack Dawson.
He was everything I wanted in a man.
When we boarded the ship, I knew that I was going to see him again.
The first thing that I did when we got into our rooms was to take a walk outside on the ship.
That was the moment when I saw him.
He was drawing me as I stood there looking at him.
