Jason Blackwood
loyal, and conflicted. Jason struggles with his werewolf identity and the danger it poses to those he loves. He falls deeply in love with Trina, a human woman, and grapples with the consequences of their relationship. Despite his fears, he is determined to protect Trina and their future together. His bond with Trina strengthens as they face challenges from his pack and the threat of other werewolves.
Mark Anderson

He provides guidance on managing pack dynamics and offers emotional support during difficult times. Mark's friendship with Jason remains strong despite disagreements over Jason's relationship with Trina.
Sarah Mitchell
scheming, and manipulative. Sarah plots against Trina out of jealousy and anger towards her for winning Jason's heart instead of her own sister Emily.
I am a werewolf.
And in love with a human woman, Trina Carter.
For a long time, I thought I had found my mate in another woman.
I was wrong.
Trina is my true mate.
But I was afraid to tell her.
I was afraid of hurting her.
I was afraid of my feelings for her.
I was afraid of what others would think.
I thought I could get over my feelings for her.
I thought I could move on and find my true mate elsewhere.
I was wrong.
Trina is the only one for me.
I am in too deep with her to get out now.
Even if I wanted to, I couldn't stop loving her.
Even if I wanted to, I couldn't stop feeling for her.
Even if I wanted to, I couldn't stop being in love with her.
She has my heart.
She will always have my heart.
Now, she is pregnant with my pups.
My pups inside her belly.
My pups growing every day inside her.
I pace outside Trina's hospital room.
She is sleeping, her belly swollen with my pups.
I can smell the antiseptic in the air.
It burns my nose, but underneath I can still smell Trina's scent.
And Sarah's too.
Sarah was here a few hours ago.
I can smell her scent on Mark's clothes as well.
Mark grabs my arm, stopping me from pacing.
"Jason, we need to talk."
I turn to him, growling low in my chest.
"What is it?"
"I don't think Trina should be here at this hospital. Sarah came by a few hours ago. She was asking questions about Trina's pregnancy timeline."
My wolf doesn't like that one bit.
Sarah knows something isn't right about Trina's pregnancy.
She doesn't know that Trina is pregnant with my pups, but she suspects that I am the father.
I station two of my most trusted pack members outside Trina's door, and have security cameras installed in her room.
When she wakes up, I curl beside her in the narrow bed, one hand protective over her belly.
"We're going to move to my lake house until the pups are born. It's more secure."
She nods sleepily.
"I like it there."
I don't want to leave her, but I have to get some things done before we can leave.
I kiss her forehead and head out into the hallway.
Mark is waiting for me.
"Sarah was just here. She was asking about Trina's discharge."
I growl in my chest.
"Good thing she's not coming home with us then."
Mark nods.
"Right. I'll go wait in the hall until she leaves."
I nod, and head back into the room.
Trina is still sleeping, but now she's curled up in the wheelchair they've brought for her discharge.
I methodically gather her clothes and toiletries from her hospital room, putting them into a duffel bag.
The night shift nurse comes in with some papers for me to sign.
I take them and scan them quickly, signing at the bottom of each one with a flourish.
Trina stirs as the nurse takes her vitals, but she's still pretty groggy from the pain medication they're giving her. Mark comes back in when the nurse leaves, standing guard as I finish packing up Trina's things.
When we're ready to leave, I push Trina out into the hallway and station Mark at the entrance to the hospital, watching for Sarah's silver sedan.
I double check the security feeds on my phone while I wait, my hands shaking slightly as I stuff Trina's maternity clothes and toiletries into a duffel bag.
I add her prenatal vitamins and medical documents to the bag as well.
When we're ready, I help Trina out of the wheelchair and stuff it into my SUV along with our bags.
Then I buckle her into the passenger seat and load up the trunk before climbing in beside her.
"Jason, there's something you need to know," Mark says, his voice tense.
I glance at him, my hand still on the ignition. "What is it, Mark?"
"Sarah's been digging into your past—she knows about the pack."
