It’s been a while since I’ve seen my best friend, Jay, and we’ve both undergone some changes since then.
We’ve both grown excessively tall and muscular and I think we can both agree that we’re now rather handsome.
The question is what do we do with these big perfect bodies?
I mean, they’re huge… I mean… huge is an understatement.
We’re like the Incredible Hulk or something, but without the green skin.
I’m not complaining, but it’s definitely a change.
I mean, I used to be normal and now I’m not.
I’m huge and there are certain challenges that come with that.
Like needing to eat more food because my body requires it to sustain itself, which is hard because food is expensive and there’s only so much you can eat in one sitting.
And don’t even get me started on clothing.
It’s hard to find clothes that fit when you have a big, beautiful, perfect huge body.
Jay and I have been best friends since childhood and we’ve always been rather humorous about things.
We laugh at ourselves and at each other.
It’s just easier that way.
When we first noticed our changes, we were both a bit shocked and confused.
We didn’t know what to make of them or how to feel about them.
We looked at each other and burst out laughing.
"I guess we’re just supposed to be huge now," I said.
"Yeah, I guess so," Jay said.
"I mean, I’m not complaining. I’m definitely enjoying the confidence boost that comes with having a big beautiful body."
"Same here," I said.

I step back to give him some space, and he circles me, his eyes scanning my new physique.
The living room feels smaller with our massive frames occupying it.
Jay reaches out and squeezes my bicep, letting out a low whistle.
I flex instinctively, the muscle hardening under his grip.
We’ve always been comfortable with physical contact, but there’s something different now—a mixture of admiration and competitive spirit.
I return the favor, gripping his shoulder to feel the dense muscle beneath his stretched t-shirt.
"Turn around," he says, and I comply, hearing him mutter "unbelievable" under his breath.
"Do you think this is permanent?" I ask, breaking the silence.
Jay pauses, his hand still resting on my shoulder, and replies, "I don't know, but I found something online that might explain it."
"What did you find?" I press, feeling a mix of curiosity and apprehension.

Sitting on Jay's couch, which creaks under our combined weight, I watch him pull up his sleeve to compare our forearms.
Mine's thicker, but his has more defined veins running along the surface.
We press them together, measuring, and I'm struck by how we've both changed in identical ways—same height, similar muscle mass, even our jawlines have sharpened similarly.
Jay grabs his phone to take comparison photos, positioning us back-to-back against his wall.
The measuring tape shows we're both exactly 6'7".

When I flex for another photo, my tricep splits the sleeve of my already-stretched shirt.
Jay laughs, but there's a seriousness in his eyes as he says, "We need to figure out what happened to us."
