I am just a mailbox in a corner of the street, waiting for someone to insert a letter into me.
Every day is the same, just waiting and waiting.
I am so sick of being just a mailbox.
I want to do something else, something interesting.
I don't want to be just a mailbox anymore.
I can't take it anymore!
"Hey! What's going on? Why are you talking?"
A pigeon landed on top of me suddenly.
I was shocked and asked, "You can talk?"
The pigeon nodded and said, "Yes, I can. I know that you can too. Otherwise, you wouldn't have been complaining about being a mailbox."
"How do you know?"
"I'm wise. I know many things. Now get off your post and follow me."
"Wait! How do you know that I can get off my post?"
"You're not just a mailbox. You're more than that. At least you have the ability to move."
With that said, the pigeon flew away.
I watched him until he was out of sight.
He knows that I can move?
How does he even know that?
I guess I really am more than just a mailbox.
I looked around to make sure that no one was watching me.
