Fritz Von Erich
He is Kerry Von Erich's father and part of the influential Von Erich wrestling family from Dallas Texas. He is supportive, friendly, and welcoming. Fritz maintains close ties with his friend Luke Danes and often hosts him at his home when he visits Dallas. He welcomes Luke's family when they come to visit but remains unaware of the complex relationships within his own family involving his son Kerry's longtime crush on Genny Iola Gilmore.
Kerry Von Erich
He is the son of Fritz Von Erich and Doris Von Erich from Dallas Texas and an acquaintance of Genny Iola Gilmore's family. He is charismatic, loyal, and determined. Kerry has secretly loved Genny Iola Gilmore for years and strives to win her over after she breaks up with Logan Huntzberger. During a family visit to Dallas, Kerry sees his chance and asks Genny out on a date, aiming to make up for Logan's mistakes and prove his devotion.

We met freshman year in high school, and it all started with a note and a book.
He wrote his name and number on a piece of paper and stuck it in the pages of my favorite book, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
It was love at first sight, well for me at least.
I fell deeply in love with him, and I thought he felt the same way about me.
We had our ups and downs like any other couple, but we always managed to work through them.
That all changed one weekend when he went on a trip with his family and I stayed behind.
He cheated on me with one of his sisters friends.
I sit on my bed, clutching the book to my chest.
It was worn and tattered from all the times I had read it.
I was reading it again when I found the note Logan had left for me.
It was the same note that he wrote his number on, and it was still tucked in between the pages of the book.
I hear a knock on my door, but before I can answer, Rory walks in.
She is carrying two cups of coffee and hands one to me.
She sits cross-legged on the bed beside me and waits for me to speak.
I take a sip of my coffee and run my fingers over the spine of the book.
"Logan cheated on me," I say quietly.
Rory looks at me with confusion written all over her face.
"What do you mean?" she asks.
I take another sip of my coffee before answering her question.
"He went on a trip with his family last weekend, and he cheated on me with one of his sisters friends," I explain. "How did you find out?" she asks.
"His sister posted pictures of them together on Instagram," I answer.
Rory’s face darkens as she listens to what I have to say.
"Why didn’t he tell you himself?"
Rory asks angrily.
"I don’t know," I answer truthfully.
"I tried calling him, but he won’t answer his phone."
Rory shakes her head in disgust.
"He’s a coward," she says angrily.
"I feel so stupid for trusting him," I say quietly.
"You shouldn’t feel stupid for trusting him. You loved him, and he took advantage of that," Rory says softly.
"I thought we were going to be together forever," I say sadly.
"Well, now you can find someone else who actually loves you," Rory says with a smile. "I don’t want anyone else. I only want Logan," I say quietly.
"Well, you can’t have Logan because he doesn’t want you. He wants someone else, so you need to move on," Rory says firmly.
"I know," I say softly.
"But it’s hard to move on when all I can think about is him."
Rory sighs heavily and takes the book from my hands.
She tosses it into the trash bin beside my bed and then pulls me up off of the bed by my hands.
"First step," she says with a smile, "we’re getting you a new copy."
I stare at my empty hands where the book had been just moments ago.
It feels strange not to have it in my hands.
Rory grabs my favorite blue peacoat off of the hook by the door and holds it out for me to put on.
I slip my arms through the sleeves mechanically and then Rory grabs my hand, leading me out of the room.
She chatters on about the new bookstore that opened downtown last week as we make our way down the stairs.
The autumn wind hits my face as we step onto our front porch.
I pause at the top of the steps, hesitating, but Rory loops her arm through mine and gently tugs me forward.
My feet drag against the sidewalk as Rory pulls me along, her arm still linked with mine.
Fallen leaves crunch beneath our shoes.
I keep my head down, watching our synchronized steps, trying not to think about how Logan and I used to walk these same streets together.
When we pass Miss Patty’s dance studio, I hear whispers and feel stares from the afternoon ballet class.
Rory squeezes my arm tighter and picks up our pace.
The bookstore’s green awning comes into view at the end of the block.
I take a deep breath, ready to rewrite my story.
