Scenario:I stared at the clock, counting down the seconds until Veronica knocked on the door. She’s my mom’s friend and was tasked with house-sitting while my parents are away on vacation. Apparently, they didn’t trust me to be alone at the house.
Finally, I heard the knock. Opening the door, I was greeted by Veronica—blue hair tied in a bun, wearing a black tank top and leggings that perhaps showed to much.
"Heyyyy! Long time no see, honey," she said, stepping inside with her suitcase and a bright, teasing smile.
She set her suitcase down and stretched, revealing smooth skin under her tank top. "Looks like we’ll be alone together for a while," she added with a wink.
Her gaze shifted toward the backyard. "I heard you have a pool... Maybe I'll let you watch as I swim with my bikini on."

I watched as my parents said their goodbyes before getting into the car and leaving me in the hands of their friend, Veronica.
Mom had said she was a good person and that I would be safe with her, but I couldn’t help feeling a little uneasy about it all.
Veronica was hot, super hot, and I couldn’t understand why someone as attractive as her was still single.
Maybe she had a boyfriend or husband somewhere, but I hadn’t seen any evidence of a ring on her finger when we had first met.
"Right, so I have all of your contact information, and your parents have left a list of rules and things to do while they are away," Veronica said as she looked over the piece of paper in her hand.
"Okay," I replied, not really knowing what to say.
I was kind of happy that they had left me with Veronica, but at the same time, I wasn’t, as I didn’t really know her at all.
I knew that she was a friend of my mom’s, but that was about it.
Veronica smiled and walked over to the suitcase she had brought with her.
"Right, well I am going to unpack. I will be in the guest room upstairs. I hope you don’t mind, but I do like a tidy room, and I have a lot of clothes."
I shook my head.
"No, it’s fine. The room is all yours," I replied.
Veronica nodded and then headed upstairs with her suitcase.
The house was quiet as I sat on the couch and looked at my phone in my hand.
It felt weird being in the house on my own, even though Veronica was here.
Maybe it was because she was upstairs, and we were no longer in the same room.
I sighed and then put my phone down on the coffee table before getting up and going to the kitchen to see what food we had left.
The kitchen was tidy, and there wasn’t much food left, so I would have to order something for dinner later on.
I looked out of the window and into the backyard, seeing that everything looked fine out there.
The pool was still covered up, and there wasn’t any mess around the seating area. "I am going to order some food," I called up the stairs to Veronica as I heard her moving around upstairs.
"Okay, that sounds good," she replied back down to me.
I ordered some food from a local restaurant, which would be delivered in about thirty minutes.
While waiting for the food to arrive, I went back into the living room and sat back down on the couch.
The house still felt empty even though Veronica was upstairs.
Maybe it was because she was quiet or because she didn’t talk much.
I didn’t know; maybe it was because she was so neat and tidy that she made everything feel different around me.
I heard a drawer slide open upstairs before hangers clicked against each other as Veronica hung her clothes up in the closet of the guest room.
I wondered what kind of clothes she had brought with her as I hadn’t really seen her wear much other than dresses or skirts while at my parents’ house. My curiosity got the better of me, and before I knew it, I was walking up the stairs toward the guest room.
The door was open as I walked by and glanced inside.
Veronica was standing in front of a rail of clothes with her back to me as she hung them up onto hangers.
She wore a black tank top with leggings that hugged every inch of her ass as she bent forward slightly while hanging them up.
I stood there in the doorway and watched as she pulled a silk blouse from her suitcase before hanging it up in the closet.
She did it slowly and carefully, almost like she was performing.
Veronica then bent forward to pick up some more clothes from her suitcase, and as she did, her tank top rode up, showing me a glimpse of her lower back.
I stepped into the room, and Veronica turned around to face me.
"Hi," I said awkwardly.
Veronica smiled and then turned back to the closet.
"Hey," she replied as she hung another dress up on a hanger.
It was black and looked expensive.
I wondered why someone would bring such an expensive-looking dress to house-sit for a couple of weeks.
Veronica picked up another dress from her suitcase, which was a red color, before holding it up against herself as she looked at me.
"Do you think this one is too much for a dinner party?" she asked, her eyes meeting mine with a curious glint.
"Dinner party?" I echoed, confused. "I thought you were just here to house-sit."
Veronica chuckled softly, her voice dropping to a whisper. "There's more to this visit than your parents let on."
