My name is Cream.
I live in the Green Leaf Village with my chao, and I am a friend of Sonic and his gang.
I am a sentimental and dreamy rabbit.
Sometimes, I like to imagine that I am being kissed by someone I like very much.
But I don't know who that person is.
He has white skin, red eyes, and black hair.
Every time I imagine kissing him, my heart beats faster, and my cheeks become hotter.
I really hope that person can be Tails someday.
Tails is the twin brother of Luxord, who lives in Angel Island as a doctor.
He is also the best buddy of Sonic.
I like Tails very much because he is so kind and loyal to his friends.
Whenever Amy and I hang out with him, he always treats us well even though we are both girls.
I really wish that someday I can confess my feelings to Tails even though I know it is impossible.
Because no matter how close we are, we are just friends, and I don't want to ruin our friendship.
Sonic and his gang are the only friends I have since my birth, and I will never have enough of their company even though they always put me into danger because of their adventurous natures.
I just hope that one day Tails can find someone who truly loves him, and that person must be as kind and gentle as he is.
Tails Crushed
I sit beside Amy in her garden.
She is busy tending her roses, and I am just watching her quietly.
The afternoon sun warms my fur, but my hands are still cold and fidgeting with the hem of my dress.
Amy hums a song softly as she prunes the wilted flowers from the plants.
The air is filled with the sweet scent of the blooming roses, and a light breeze blows through the garden, rustling the leaves of the plants.
It is so peaceful and serene here that I don't want to ruin the atmosphere by speaking out.
But I know I must be brave enough to say it out.
I take a deep breath and gather up my courage.
My throat tightens, but I force myself to speak it out.
"Amy..."
Tails Crushed
I say softly.
Amy stops pruning the roses and turns to look at me with concerned eyes.
"What's wrong, Cream?"
She asks softly.
"I...I want to tell you something."
I say hesitantly.
"Okay."
She says encouragingly and sits down beside me on the wooden bench in front of us.
I swallow hard and look into her concerned eyes.
"I...I like someone."
I say softly.
"Really?"
She asks curiously and tilts her head to look at me. "Yes..."
I say shyly, feeling my cheeks heating up even more.
"Who is he?"
She asks excitedly.
"T-Tails..."
I say quietly, feeling my heart pounding against my chest even harder now.
"Oh..."
She says softly, a knowing smile spreading across her face as she nods her head in understanding.
"Is it because he is kind and loyal to his friends?"
She asks softly.
"Yes..."
I say shyly, feeling tears welling up in my eyes even though I am not sure why I feel this way right now.
"You can tell him your feelings if you want."
Amy says encouragingly, patting my hand gently with her own hand.
"I can't..."
I say softly, shaking my head regretfully as tears roll down my cheeks even though I try very hard not to cry right now.
"Why not?"
She asks softly, looking at me in confusion. "Because he treats me like his best friend."
I say softly, wiping away the tears from my cheeks with my sleeve as I look away from her tearfully.
"But you are his best friend."
Amy says confusedly, tilting her head to look at me in confusion.
"Not like that..."
"I mean, I don't want to risk losing him as a friend," I explain, my voice barely above a whisper.
Tails Crushed
Amy's eyes soften with understanding.
"Sometimes taking a risk is worth it, Cream," she says gently, "especially when it comes to matters of the heart."
I nod my head slowly in agreement.
"Okay..."
"Good," Amy says with a smile, patting my hand again, "Now go and write a letter to him. It is the best way to tell him your feelings."
"Okay..."
I say softly, standing up from the bench and bowing slightly to Amy.
"Thank you, Amy..."
"You're welcome."
Amy says with a smile as she watches me hurry away from her garden.
I rush back to my house and run up to my bedroom.
I open my desk drawer and pull out a stack of pink stationery.
Tails Crushed
It is my favorite color, and I want to use it to express my feelings.
I sit down at the desk and stare at the blank paper for a few minutes, trying to think of the right words to express how I feel.
I think about all of the happy memories I have with Tails: his kind smile when he fixed my mother's broken appliances; how his tails swish back and forth whenever he talks about his new inventions; how safe I feel whenever I fly through the air with him as my pilot.
My hands tremble as I pick up my pen and start writing.
I cross out words and start over multiple times, trying to get it just right.
Tails Crushed
The afternoon sun moves across my desk as I write, casting shadows on the paper in front of me.
Finally, I finish the letter and fold it neatly, slipping it into an envelope.
As I seal it, a knock on my door startles me, and I hear Sonic's voice from the other side.
"Cream, you in there? Tails is looking for you!"
I quickly hide the letter under my pillow and rush to open the door.
Sonic is standing in the hallway, a mischievous grin on his face as he gestures for Tails to follow him inside.
Tails walks past Sonic and into my room, his twin tails swishing softly behind him.
He is carrying his toolbox in one hand, and he looks around my room curiously.
"Hi, Cream," he says with a smile, "I came to fix your music box. It was broken when I saw it last time."
"Oh...thank you..."
I say softly, watching as Tails sets down his toolbox and walks over to my desk where the music box sits.
He picks it up gently and examines the intricate mechanism inside.
My heart pounds against my chest as I watch him work, his fingers moving deftly over the tiny gears and springs.
I fight the urge to reach out and touch his soft fur, instead folding my hands together in front of me.
Tails Crushed
The letter burns in my mind, hidden just a few feet away from where Tails sits.
I wonder if he will ever read it, or if it will stay hidden forever.
After a few minutes, Tails finishes repairing the music box and turns it over in his hands.
He presses a small button on the side, and a soft melody fills the room - it is my favorite lullaby. "All fixed," Tails says with a smile, holding out the music box for me to take.
I reach out for it, but as our fingers brush against each other, I jump back in surprise.
Tails looks at me with concerned eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"N-nothing..."
I stammer, trying to calm my racing heart.
"I-I thought I heard something outside."
Tails Crushed
"Oh..."
Tails glances toward the window, then back at me with a reassuring smile.
"Probably just the wind," he says softly, his eyes lingering on mine for a moment longer than usual.
Sonic clears his throat from the doorway, breaking the spell. "Hey, Tails, we should get going if we're gonna catch Knuckles before he leaves Angel Island."
Tails nods, standing up from my desk and walking over to the door.
"Right. See you later, Cream."
I nod, watching as they walk out of my room and down the hallway.
I hear the front door close behind them, and then I collapse onto my bed, my heart still pounding in my chest.
The music box continues to play its gentle melody, filling the room with a soft, soothing sound.
I reach under my pillow and pull out the letter, smoothing out the wrinkles with my hands.
I read over the words again, remembering how nervous I was when I wrote them.
The ink is smudged in a few places where my hands trembled too much.
I look out of my window and see Tails and Sonic walking down the garden path, their figures growing smaller with each step.
Tails stops at the corner of the house and turns back to look at me one last time. I wave weakly at him, clutching the letter to my chest.
Tails Crushed
He smiles and waves back before disappearing around the corner.
Once they are out of sight, I tear the letter into tiny pieces and drop them into my waste basket.
I sit on the floor of my bedroom, surrounded by the scattered pieces of the letter I wrote to Tails.
My fingers shake as I carefully pick up each fragment, laying them out on my desk in front of me like a puzzle.
The sun is setting outside, casting long shadows across the paper scraps.
My music box continues to play its gentle melody, filling the room with a soft, soothing sound.
As I arrange the pieces of the letter, I notice how my handwriting becomes shakier towards the end - evidence of my growing anxiety.
I pull out a fresh sheet of pink paper and my favorite pen, determined to start over.
This time, I won't let fear hold me back from expressing my true feelings.
Just as I begin to write, a soft knock echoes from the door, and Amy's voice follows.
"Cream, can I come in for a moment?"
"Of course, Amy," I reply, quickly hiding the torn pieces of the letter under a book.
Tails Crushed
Amy walks into the room, her eyes immediately falling on the corner of a torn piece of paper peeking out from under my book.
My hands instinctively move to cover it, but she is already walking over to investigate.
I watch helplessly as she pulls out the fragments and begins to piece them together on my desk like a puzzle.
The music box continues to play its gentle melody, filling the awkward silence.
After a few moments, Amy finishes arranging the pieces of the letter and reads over the words I had written.
Tails Crushed
When she is finished, she picks up the fresh sheet of pink paper and places it directly in front of me, sliding my pen into my trembling hand.
"Here, Cream," she says gently, sitting down in the chair beside my desk.
"Now, let's try that again."
I nod, gripping the pen tightly and beginning to write.
The words flow more easily this time, as if I have finally found my voice.
Amy occasionally reaches out to squeeze my shoulder for support as I pour out my feelings onto the paper.
I tell Tails about how his inventions always fascinate me, how his twin tails make my heart flutter when they wag excitedly.
I explain how safe I feel flying through the skies with him by my side, the wind rushing past us like a gentle breeze.
With each sentence, my handwriting becomes steadier, growing stronger with every declaration of love.
When I finally reach the part where I confess my true feelings to him, I pause briefly before carefully writing "I love you" in my neatest script. Amy leans over to read over my shoulder as I sign my name at the bottom of the page with a flourish.
She nods approvingly and gives me one last squeeze on the shoulder before standing up to leave.
Tails Crushed
"That's much better," she says with a smile, walking back towards the door.
"And remember, Cream - it's okay to be nervous when you give it to him. It's a big step, but I know he'll appreciate your honesty."
I nod, feeling a warmth spread through me at her words of encouragement.
As Amy leaves my room and closes the door behind her, I take a deep breath and look down at the letter in front of me.
I fold it carefully, sealing my resolve with every crease.
Tails Crushed
I place a small heart-shaped sticker in the corner of the envelope, then carefully write Tails' name in bold black ink.
Just as I finish, three soft knocks echo from the door, sending my heart racing.
"Cream? Can I talk to you?"
Tails' voice calls out, muffled by the door.
I quickly shove the letter into my desk drawer and slam it shut just as Tails enters my room.
Tails Crushed
He stands in the doorway, his twin tails twitching nervously behind him.
His bright blue eyes avoid mine, instead fixed on the floor as he fidgets with the gloves on his hands.
The setting sun casts its golden light through my window, illuminating his orange fur and casting long shadows across the room.
The music box continues to play its gentle melody, filling the awkward silence between us. Tails takes a deep breath and steps closer, his blue eyes finally meeting mine.
I freeze, my heart stopping in my chest.
He reaches behind his back and pulls out a crumpled piece of pink paper, its edges torn and jagged.
My eyes widen as I realize it's a fragment of my own stationery, the same shade of pale pink as the letter I had written to him.
I had torn it up earlier, but I must have missed this piece when I threw it away.
Tails unfolds the paper carefully, smoothing out the creases on my desk next to the music box.
His tails twitch anxiously as he points to a visible phrase scrawled in messy handwriting.
"I love," it reads, followed by a jagged tear where the rest of the sentence had been ripped away.
"Cream," Tails begins, his voice barely above a whisper, "is this... is this from you?"
I swallow hard, my cheeks burning as I nod slowly.
His eyes soften, and he takes a step closer, his voice trembling slightly. "Do you really mean it?"
Tails Crushed
My heart nearly stops as Tails reaches into his pocket with trembling hands, pulling out a folded piece of paper.
It's wrinkled and creased from being carried around in his pocket all day.
I recognize the familiar blue stationery he always uses for his invention notes, and my breath catches in my throat.
He unfolds it carefully, revealing pages of messy handwriting that cover every inch of the paper.
At the top, I see my name scribbled in bold letters, followed by words about flying together and sharing moments.
Tails Crushed
"I've been trying to find the right way to tell you," Tails admits, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I didn't know if you'd feel the same, but I couldn't keep it to myself any longer."
My heart swells with hope as I step closer, my voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions.
"I do," I confess, my fingers trembling as they intertwine with his.
The warmth of his hand sends tingles through my body, and the music box continues its gentle melody in the background.
Tails' blue eyes widen at my touch, his twin tails starting to sway slowly behind him.
The golden sunset streams through my window, casting a warm glow over the scattered pieces of our confession letters on my desk.
My heart pounds so loudly in my chest that I wonder if Tails can hear it too.
Tails Crushed
"Let's find out together," I whisper, and his grip on my hand tightens slightly.
The music box plays on as we stand there, two hearts finally in sync.
Tails leads me out of my room, our fingers still intertwined.
My legs feel shaky as we walk down the stairs, the warmth of his hand against mine sending shivers up my arm.
The evening air is filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers from my garden as we step outside, the sky painted orange and pink by the setting sun.
We stroll silently toward the park's entrance, the iron gates casting long shadows across the winding path.
Tails' tails brush occasionally against my arm as we walk, making my heart skip a beat.
Tails Crushed
Finally, we reach the old oak tree where we used to play as children.
Under the oak's sprawling branches, I lean against the rough bark while Tails stands before me.
The fading sunlight filters through the leaves above us, casting dancing shadows across his face.
My heart pounds in my chest as he takes a step closer, his orange fur glowing in the golden light.
His hand finds mine once again, fingers intertwining as naturally as breathing.
The familiar scent of machine oil and mint that always surrounds him grows stronger, filling my senses.
Tails Crushed
His blue eyes lock with mine, filled with an intensity I've never seen before.
He leans in slowly, deliberately, until I feel his warm breath tickle my cheek.
