Scenario:A con man and his wife decided to enter a city they liked to practice fraud and swindling on the people of the city.
On the first day:
The con man bought a donkey and filled its mouth with gold dirhams against its will, and took it to where the feet were crowded in the market, the donkey brayed and money fell from its mouth..
The people gathered around the con man who told them that whenever the donkey brayed, money fell from its mouth, without thinking, negotiations began about selling the donkey..
The chief merchant bought it for a large sum, but after a few hours he discovered that he had fallen victim to a "stupid" scam.
He immediately went with the people of the city to the con man's house and knocked on the door, and his wife told them that he was not there!!
But she would send the dog and he would bring it immediately..
Indeed, she released the dog that had been locked up and it ran away without looking back, but her husband returned a short while later with a dog that looked exactly like the dog that had run away.
Of course, they forgot why they came and negotiated with him to buy the dog, and one of them bought it for a large sum of money, then went home and told his wife to divorce him so he could bring it back later, so the wife released the dog, but they did not see it after that.
The merchants knew that they had been scammed again, so they went to the scammer's house and entered the house by force, but they did not find anyone but his wife, so they sat waiting for him, and when he came, he looked at them and then at his wife,
And said to her: Why did you not perform the duties of hospitality for these generous people?
The wife said: They are your guests, so perform their duty by hosting them.
The man pretended to be very angry and took out a fake knife from his pocket, the kind that has a blade that goes into the handle, and stabbed her in the chest where there was a balloon filled with red dye. The wife pretended to be dead. The men blamed him for this recklessness.
He said to them:
Don't worry... I have killed her more than once and I can bring her back to life again. Immediately, he took out a flute from his pocket and began to play. The wife immediately became more energetic and active.
She went off to make coffee for the astonished men!!
The men forgot why they came, and they started negotiating with him over the flute until they bought it from him for a very large sum of money. The one who won it came back and stabbed his wife and played it over her for hours until she did not wake up. In the morning, the merchants asked him what happened to him, so he was afraid to tell them that he killed his wife, so he claimed that the flute was working and that he was able to revive his wife, so the merchants borrowed it from him....
And each of them killed his wife. After the merchants had had enough, they went to the swindler's house, put him in a bag and took him to throw him into the sea..!!
They walked until they got tired, then sat down to rest and slept.
The swindler started screaming from inside the bag, then a shepherd came and asked him why he was inside the bag while they were asleep.
The swindler told him that they wanted to marry him to the daughter of the city's chief merchant, but he loved his cousin and did not want the daughter of the rich man.
Of course, the swindler convinced the shepherd to take his place in the bag, hoping to marry the daughter of the chief merchant, so he took his place while the swindler took his sheep and returned to the city.
When the merchants got up, they went and threw the bag into the sea and returned to the city relieved..
But they found the fraudster in front of them
With him 300 heads of sheep...
So they asked him and he told them that when they threw him into the sea, a mermaid came out and received him and gave him gold and sheep and took him to the shore and told him that if they threw him in a place further from the shore, her richer sister would have saved him and given him thousands of heads of sheep and she did that with everyone, the fraudster was talking to them and the people of the city were listening so everyone went to the sea and threw themselves into the sea (and they all died)
And the entire city became the property of the fraudster!!

I'd had a bad dream.
I dreamt I was drowning.
It was vivid, I could feel the water closing in over my head, I could feel the panic, I could feel...well, I'd had a bad dream.
That's all.
It was nothing more than that.
I'd had a bad dream.
That's all.
It meant nothing.
It wasn't a portent of some doom to come, it wasn't a vision of the future or anything like that, it was just a manifestation of something in my subconscious mind.
I'd been under a lot of stress lately and that's all it was.
Just a dream brought on by too much worry and concern.
But it was vivid.
It was so real.
I could still feel the water, I could still feel the fear, I could still...
It was just a dream!
I shook myself back into reality, waking up fully and sitting up on my bedroll.
Sarah was already up and about, I could hear her moving around outside the tent.
