When I got home from the gym, I checked my phone and found a text from Mia.

Hey, do you want to come over tonight? I’m having a party.

I stared at the text for a moment.

A party?

I hadn’t been to a party in a while.

I typed my response.

What kind of party?

There was no response for a few minutes, and I wondered if I had said something wrong.

Then my phone buzzed.

Girls’ night.

Bring beer & your swimsuit!

I raised an eyebrow.

Swimsuit?

I didn’t know I was invited to a swimsuit kind of party.

I wasn’t sure if I should go, but then I thought about how much fun it could be.
