MidReal Story

Stuck with Luna

Scenario:Wuki College was supposed to be my safe haven—a school with less pressure and more freedom after the health scares I’d endured. I loved it here. However, there's one thing I don't like about it: this girl called "Luna". She is a bully while being popular and the most beautiful girl in college. As the new kid, I’m one of her common targets. Tonight, after classes, I headed to the library to grab some books to read in my dorm. Luna followed me, as always. She held the book I’d been searching for, smirking. “Want it, nerd? Why not fight me for it?” As she was saying, the lights suddenly turned off as it was the closing time for it. I rushed to the exit but it was already locked. Then the lights went out, plunging us into darkness. The doors were locked. “Looks like I am stuck with a stuck-up nerd like you.”

When I stepped out of my room, I was greeted by the warm morning sun.
It was a lovely day, and I felt happy to start a new chapter at Wuki College.
I took a deep breath, feeling the dewy oxygen fill my lungs, and began my walk to school.
The fresh air did wonders for my nerves, and soon I felt more confident than ever.
I couldn't wait to make new friends and have a fresh start.
As I turned the corner, I caught sight of a familiar figure in the distance.
It was Alex Chen, the boy who had helped me yesterday.
He had his glasses perched on his nose and his short black hair gelled to perfection.
With his backpack slung over his shoulder, he looked like the typical college student.
I hastened my pace, and soon I caught up to him.
"Hey Alex," I said, waving enthusiastically at him.
He turned around, a hint of a smile on his lips.
"Hi Lana. Going to class?"
I nodded eagerly.
"Yeah, I am too. It's my first day here."
Alex's smile widened.
"Mind if I join you? I'm also headed that way."
I beamed with delight.
"That would be great!"
As we walked side by side, the awkwardness between us slowly dissipated.
Stuck with Luna
I noticed Alex fidgeting with his hands as we walked, his eyes darting to my feet every few steps.
It was a bit strange, but I tried not to think too much of it.
The morning sun shone down on us, casting a warm glow over the campus.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and security with Alex by my side.
As we approached the school gates, Alex stopped in his tracks.
"Hey Lana," he said, clearing his throat.
I turned to look at him, noticing that he seemed nervous.
"What's up?"
I asked, trying to reassure him that everything was okay.
He took a deep breath and adjusted his glasses.
Stuck with Luna
"I just wanted to say... I'm glad you're here."
I smiled back at him, feeling happy that he felt comfortable enough to express himself.
"No problem, Alex. I'm glad too."
With that, we continued our walk to class.
As we approached the building where my first class was located, I could feel the excitement building inside me. I had always dreamed of attending Wuki College, and now that dream had finally come true.
I couldn't wait to start learning new things and making new friends.
Alex gave me a friendly wave goodbye as we parted ways for our respective classes.
I watched him walk away before turning towards the entrance of the building.
As I stepped inside, I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment wash over me.
I had done it; I had finally made it to Wuki College.
The morning sun streamed through the windows as I made my way down the hallway towards my classroom.
The sound of chatter and footsteps filled the air as students hurried to their own classes.
I could feel the excitement and anticipation emanating from everyone around me. As I entered my classroom, I took a seat in one of the empty chairs near the front.
The professor walked in shortly after, greeting us with a warm smile.
She began her lecture by introducing herself and explaining what we would be covering throughout the semester.
I listened intently as she spoke, taking notes in my binder at the same time.
The lecture went by quickly, and before I knew it, class was already over.
I gathered my belongings and headed out into the hallway, eager to start my next class.
As I walked down the corridor, I noticed Alex waiting for me outside of my classroom door.
He smiled when he saw me and waved for me to come over to him.
Stuck with Luna
"Hey Lana," he said as I approached him.
"Hey, Lana," Alex said, his voice a bit more serious than before.
"There's something I need to tell you," he continued, glancing around to make sure no one was listening.
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by his sudden change in demeanor.
"What is it?"
I asked, leaning against the wall next to him.
He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, his eyes darting around nervously.
"I've been noticing that you've been wearing sandals every day since you got here," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
I looked down at my feet, realizing that I was indeed wearing sandals.
It was a habit of mine to wear them whenever the weather was warm enough.
"I just thought I'd mention it to you," Alex said, looking away from me.
I could tell that he was trying to be helpful, but I couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious about my footwear choice.
"Thanks for letting me know," I said, smiling weakly at him.
Alex nodded and began to walk away, but then he stopped and turned back towards me.
Stuck with Luna
"I'm sorry if I said anything wrong," he said, his face scrunched up in concern.
I shook my head reassuringly.
"No, it's okay. I appreciate your concern."
Alex nodded again and continued on his way to class.
I watched him go before turning back towards my own classroom door.
I took a deep breath and stepped inside, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. The courtyard was bustling with students as Alex and I walked through it towards our first class of the morning.
The sun beat down on us, warming the pavement beneath our feet.
I could feel the heat radiating up through my sandals as I walked, making my toes wiggle in response.
As we approached the water fountain in the center of the courtyard, Alex slowed his pace and stopped beside it.
He cleared his throat and shifted his weight from one foot to the other, causing me to pause beside him as well.
"I was wondering..." he started in a quiet voice, glancing down at my sandals once again.
I shifted uncomfortably under his gaze, feeling a bit self-conscious about my footwear choice.
But then again, why should I be?
It wasn't like I had done anything wrong.
"Do you speak any French?" he asked finally, looking up at me with a curious expression on his face. I was taken aback by the sudden change in topic, but I tried my best to answer his question anyway.
"A little," I replied truthfully.
"I took some classes in high school, but I'm not very fluent."
Alex nodded thoughtfully for a moment before speaking again.
"There's this French exchange student who's been looking for someone to practice with," he said, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
"I thought maybe you could help her out, and it might be a good way for you to make a new friend."
Stuck with Luna
I considered his suggestion, feeling a mix of nerves and anticipation at the prospect of meeting someone new.
"Sure," I said finally, nodding my head in agreement.
"I'd be happy to help her out."
Alex grinned at me, his eyes shining with enthusiasm.
"Great! I'll set you two up for lunch today."
I nodded again, feeling a sense of anticipation building in my chest.
I was excited to meet this new person and to have a chance to practice my French.
As we continued on our way to class, I couldn't help but feel grateful for Alex's suggestion.
Maybe this was the start of something special. As I walked through the courtyard towards the cafeteria for lunch, I noticed Alex already sitting at our usual table.
He was staring intently at his food, his eyes flicking back and forth between his plate and his phone.
I slid into the seat across from him, my sandals scraping against the linoleum floor as I moved.
Stuck with Luna
The sound made Alex flinch, and he looked up at me with a mixture of surprise and concern on his face.
"Lana," he said softly, picking at his food with his fork.
"What's going on with you and my sandals?"
I asked him bluntly, unable to ignore it any longer.
Alex's eyes darted down towards my feet once again, and he shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
"It's just...I've never seen anyone wear sandals like that before," he stammered, avoiding eye contact with me.
I frowned slightly, feeling a bit self-conscious about my footwear choice. But then again, why should I be?
It wasn't like I had done anything wrong.
"I'm sorry if it bothers you," I said finally, picking up my own fork to start eating my lunch.
Alex shook his head quickly, looking up at me with worry in his eyes.
"No, it's not that. It's just...I don't know how to explain it."
He trailed off then, glancing back down at his plate once again.
Just as I was about to press him for more information, Luna passed by our table with her friends.
Her sharp laugh cut through the air, making Alex tense up in his seat.
He didn't look up at her as she walked by, but instead kept his head down and focused on eating. "So," he said suddenly after a moment of silence, "how were your French lessons this morning?"
Stuck with Luna
I looked at him curiously for a moment before answering.
"They went well," I said finally.
"I think I'm going to enjoy practicing with that exchange student."
Alex nodded, smiling slightly.
"That's great," he said.
"I'm glad to hear it."
As we continued eating our lunch, I couldn't help but notice Luna sitting at a table nearby.
She was wearing her usual designer sandals, and her hair was pulled up into a sleek ponytail.
She was chatting with her friends, laughing and gesturing animatedly as they talked.
I watched her for a moment, feeling a mix of admiration and envy at her confidence and beauty.
But then again, why should I be envious?
I had my own unique qualities and strengths that made me special in my own way.
And besides, I had Alex as a friend, which was more than enough for me.
Stuck with Luna
As I continued to watch Luna from across the room, an idea suddenly formed in my mind.
I pulled out my phone and opened the school's anonymous gossip forum, typing out a message quickly before hitting send.
"Did you know Luna's expensive sandals are actually cheap knockoffs?"
The words flashed on the screen for a moment before disappearing, leaving me feeling both exhilarated and nervous at what I had just done. Within minutes, phones were buzzing all over the cafeteria as students read the message that had been sent out to everyone.
Luna's face darkened as she checked her screen, her eyes scanning the room quickly as she looked for who might have sent it.
Stuck with Luna
I quickly looked down at my food, trying to avoid her gaze as my heart pounded in my chest.
I knew that what I had done wasn't right, but I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at seeing Luna's reaction.
