MidReal Story

Stuck with Luna

Scenario:Wuki College was supposed to be my safe haven—a school with less pressure and more freedom after the health scares I’d endured. I loved it here. However, there's one thing I don't like about it: this girl called "Luna". She is a bully while being popular and the most beautiful girl in college. As the new kid, I’m one of her common targets. Tonight, after classes, I headed to the library to grab some books to read in my dorm. Luna followed me, as always. She held the book I’d been searching for, smirking. “Want it, nerd? Why not fight me for it?” As she was saying, the lights suddenly turned off as it was the closing time for it. I rushed to the exit but it was already locked. Then the lights went out, plunging us into darkness. The doors were locked. “Looks like I am stuck with a stuck-up nerd like you.”

I walked down the corridors of Wuki College, my heart pounding in my chest.
I had just finished signing up for my classes and I couldn't wait to start learning.
This was going to be a fresh start for me, a new chapter in my life.
I smiled to myself as I thought about it.
"Emily," a voice called out behind me.
I turned to see Alex Chen approaching me.
He had been the only one to talk to me when I was signing up for my classes earlier.
We didn't quite know each other but he knew a mutual acquaintance of mine, so we had struck up a conversation.
"Hey," I said, smiling up at him.
He was tall and wore glasses, with short black hair.
He looked intelligent and kind.
"You look lost," he said, frowning at me.
"I'm trying to find my way to the library."
"Oh," I said, feeling stupid for not realizing that earlier.
"I'm going in the same direction. Want to walk together?"
