I'm a swan a bird native steel and crystals of different vibrant colors
The vision came to me in a dream, as they always did.
I was soaring high above the world, my wings slicing through the air with ease.
The wind whipped through my feathers, and I let out a cry of joy.
This was where I belonged.
This was where I was free.
I flew over the mountains, the forests, and the rivers, reveling in the beauty of it all.
But then I saw something that made my heart stop.
A darkness was spreading across the land, like a black stain on a white sheet of paper.
I tried to fly away, to get as far from it as I could, but it was no use.
The darkness was too fast, too powerful.
And then it was on me, wrapping me in its cold embrace, suffocating me, smothering out the light.
I tried to fight back, to push it away, but it was no use.
It kept coming, kept growing, until it had consumed everything I loved.
In a moment of desperation, I unleashed a brilliant light, hoping to push back the shadows and save what was left of my world.
But it wasn’t enough.
The darkness closed in, and I knew that this was the end.
This was where I would die.
I woke up with a gasp, my heart pounding in my chest.
I was back in my physical form, lying in bed in the chamber that had been mine for as long as I could remember.
Lysandra Gemheart and Thalos Brightwing were both sitting beside me, looking at me with concern in their eyes.
"Elara," Lysandra said, reaching out to touch my arm.
"Are you all right?"
I took a deep breath and ran a hand through my hair.
"I’m fine," I said, though I wasn’t sure if that was true.

The wind whipped through my feathers, and I let out a cry of joy.
I flew over the mountains and the forests and the rivers below me.
The landscape stretched out before me like a vibrant tapestry.
The colors were so bright that they hurt my eyes: the blue of the sky and the green of the trees; the brown of the earth and the white of the snow.
I flew higher and higher into the sky until the mountains were just tiny specks in the distance.
And then everything changed.
The world below me was no longer a tapestry of colors but a living thing, a breathing thing.
The blue of the sky was now a crystal clear water that stretched out as far as the eye could see.

The green of the trees was now rolling hills that undulated like the waves of an ocean.
The brown of the earth was now a blanket of soft grass that rustled in the wind.
The white of the snow was now a field of flowers that bloomed in a riot of colors.
I was surrounded by beauty on all sides.
This was the world that had been mine to protect once.
This was the world that I had sworn to defend with my life.
But then something changed.
A dark storm cloud appeared on the horizon and spread across the land like a shroud.
It moved slowly at first, creeping along the ground like a shadow.
But then it began to move faster and faster until it was racing across the landscape like a pack of hungry wolves.

I knew then that this was no ordinary natural disaster, no simple act of nature.
I could feel it in my bones, in my soul: this was something far more dangerous, far more powerful.
This was a malevolent force, driven by pure hatred and fear.
And it was coming for me.
I tried to fly away, to escape its cold embrace, but it was no use.
It was too fast, too powerful.
And so I did the only thing that I could do: I flew straight into the heart of the storm, hoping that by confronting it head on, I could somehow stop it.
But it was no use.
The darkness swept over me, wrapping me in its cold embrace, suffocating me, smothering out the light.
I tried to break free, to push back against it with all my might, but it was no use.
The darkness kept coming, kept growing, until it had consumed everything in its path.
I let out a cry of anguish as I watched the world around me crumble into dust.
The flowers wilted, the grass turned brown, the hills turned to mud.
