Sonic.EXE: The Cursed Game

Scenario:Thomas harvey was an avid gamer, and one of his favorite games was Sonic 3. On a quiet afternoon, he was immersed in the game, navigating Sonic through the vibrant and action-packed levels. The familiar sounds of the game filled the room as Tom skillfully maneuvered Sonic, collecting rings and defeating enemies. As Tom played, he felt a sense of nostalgia and excitement, reminiscing about his childhood spent playing Sonic games. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm glow through the window. Just as Tom was about to complete a challenging level, he heard the sound of the doorbell ringing. Pausing the game, Tom got up and made his way to the front door. He found a small package on the doorstep, with no return address. Puzzled, he picked it up and brought it inside. Curiosity got the better of him, and he quickly opened the package to find a CD labeled "Sonic.EXE" and a note from his friend Kyle. The Sonic.EXE creepypasta begins with a teenager named Tom who receives a mysterious package from his friend Kyle Carter (who is dead). Inside the package is a CD labeled "Sonic.EXE" and a note from Kyle that reads: "Tom, I can't take it anymore. I had to get rid of this thing somehow before it was too late, and I was hoping you'd do it for me. I can't do it. He's after me, and if you don't destroy this CD, he'll come after you too. It's too late for me. Destroy the disc, burn it, just get rid of it, please. Kyle." Despite the ominous warning, Tom's curiosity gets the better of him, and he decides to play the game. When he starts the game, the usual Sonic the Hedgehog title screen appears, but the last frame had some disturbing differences. Sonic's eyes are now pitch black with glowing red pupils, and the background music is replaced by a haunting, distorted melody. I ignored that horrifying scene and went on. I was met with the sonic 3 level select. "what's that screen doing in a sonic 1 game?" I asked myself. the background was a red cloudy sky that looked aufully like the stardust speedway from sonic CD. (y'know, where you fight metal sonic?) and the character selection was strange too. there were tails', knuckles, and, Dr. eggman? since when do you play as eggman? and all were locked ecsept for tails'. the TV's above each of the characters where the level showcase is supposed to be was just red static. as I hovered over tails', he seemed to be pleading for me to not choose him. it almost made me quit the game, but I didn't. I clicked tails' even though he desperately wanted me not to. I heard a laugh that sounded like that kefka guy from final fantasy. I was met by green Hill act 1, but instead of the normal cheery music we are used to, a strange haunting but soothing piano melody was playing but in reverse. as I went through the level, I saw baby animals. dead. some had their lungs in the trees and was hanging by them, others were just mauled and in piles. I almost puked and tails' even seemed nervous. I continued on until the music stopped and there was no dead animals. I sighed in relefe as I didnt have to see that again..., or so I thought. I encountered sonic with his back turned and tails seemed happy to see him. I remembered the title screen I saw and I was scared to go any closer. so I pulled left on my controller. just to find out I wasn't in control anymore. tails was walking up to sonic and the closer he got the more static there was. I was scared when sonic touched him just when sonic didn't answer. I was relieved until sonic snapped his neck back with the same menacing grin and black eyes I saw in the title screen. the screen went black as a message in messed-up font appeared saying "HeLlO, Do YoU WaNt To PlAy WiTh Me?" and I was met with a level called "HIDE AND SEEK Act 1" it looked like that angel island place but it was on fire. the sound also sounded like that creepy cold caverns place from motherbound. The chase sequence begins, with Tails running away from the corrupted Sonic. The tension builds as Sonic closes in on Tails. The level ends with Sonic catching Tails, and the screen shows a gruesome image of Tails' lifeless body with bloodshot eyes and a look of terror. The game resets, and Tom now controls Knuckles in the next level, titled "You Can't Run." The environment is desolate, with bloodstains and unsettling imagery. Knuckles moves through the level, encountering the same corrupted Sonic. Sonic taunts Knuckles, leading to him getting tired of going back and forth . The level concludes with Knuckles meeting a similar fate as Tails, his lifeless body displayed on the screen. The final act involves Dr. Robotnik in a level titled "..." The environment is even more twisted and nightmarish, with walls dripping with blood and a sense of impending doom. As Dr. Robotnik navigates through the level, he encounters the corrupted Sonic in a final showdown. The act ends with Dr. Robotnik being caught and killed by Sonic, leaving his lifeless body on the screen. Throughout the game, Tom becomes increasingly disturbed by the horrifying content. He tries to shut off the game, but the corrupted Sonic appears on the screen with a chilling message: "I am God." The computer screen goes black, and Tom is left in a state of fear and paranoia. After Tom has experienced the horrifying events within the game, he receives another unexpected package. Inside, he finds a Sonic plushie, but it's not just any plushie—this one has the same pitch-black eyes with glowing red pupils as the corrupted Sonic from the game. The plushie's twisted smile mirrors that of the malevolent Sonic, adding an unsettling layer to the whole experience. Tom is left in shock and fear, realizing that the cursed entity has reached out into the real world. The plush serves as a tangible reminder of the digital nightmare he encountered, blurring the lines between virtual horror and reality. The presence of the plushie reinforces the idea that the malevolent force is not confined to the game and can affect the real world, leaving Tom in a state of paranoia and dread. Game Over Screen After Dr. Robotnik's level, the game ends with a disturbing image of the corrupted Sonic, displaying the message "I am God." This chilling conclusion leaves the player with a sense of dread and unease.

I was just sitting in my room, doing nothing but staring at the wall.
Sonic.EXE: The Cursed Game
I had just gotten out of school, and I had nothing better to do.
I was a gamer, and I had just beaten the last level of sonic 3.
I was waiting for my mom to come home with more food, since I was starving.
I heard the door open, and I expected it to be my mom.
I expected her to call me, saying "put the groceries away!"
But instead of that, I heard a knock at the door.
I got up and answered it.
There was a package here.
It said my name on it, but there was no return address.
I opened it and found a CD labeled "Sonic.EXE" and a note from Kyle.
Now Kyle was a good friend of mine.
We hung out all the time before he moved away.
He was a year older than me, so he had moved before I did.
We kept in touch with e-mails and phone calls.
But one day, I called him and got no answer.
I e-mailed him and got no response.
I tried again and again, but got nothing.
His family wouldn't tell me anything about him; they just moved away without a word.
It had been a year since I heard anything from him.
And now this?
What was going on?
The note read:
"Tom,
I can't take it anymore!
Sonic.EXE: The Cursed Game
I unfolded the note further, my hands trembling. Kyle's handwriting was frantic, each word etched with desperation.
"Tom, you have to believe me," it continued. "This game is cursed. It knows things about you, things only I knew. It's watching."
My heart pounded as I scanned the rest of the message. Kyle described eerie occurrences—flickering lights, whispers in the dark, and shadows moving on their own. He warned me to stay vigilant and not trust what I see.
As I finished reading, a chill ran down my spine. Suddenly, the room felt colder, and the lights dimmed unexpectedly. I looked around, wondering if it was just my imagination playing tricks on me.
But then, I heard it. A faint whispering in my ear. "Tom..." The voice was soft, almost inaudible, but it sent shivers down my spine.
I spun around, trying to locate the source of the sound, but there was no one there. The whisper seemed to come from all around me, echoing off the walls.
My eyes darted back to the note, and I read the words again, trying to make sense of them. What did Kyle mean by "it knows things about you"? What secrets had he shared with this... this entity?
The whispering grew louder, more urgent. "Tom... Tom..." It was a gentle voice, but it sent a wave of fear through me.
I tried to shake off the feeling of unease, telling myself it was just my imagination running wild. But deep down, I knew something was wrong. The game had awakened something malevolent, and now it was coming for me.
Suddenly, the lights flickered again, and the whispering stopped. The room was silent once more, but I knew I wasn't alone. I could feel eyes watching me, waiting for me to make my next move.
Sonic.EXE: The Cursed Game
Here is the next part of the story:
I hesitated, the CD feeling unnaturally cold in my hand. The room's dim light flickered as I inserted the "Sonic.EXE" disc into my computer. The drive whirred ominously, and the screen flickered to life with a distorted Sonic logo. My heart pounded as I navigated through the twisted menu, each click echoing like a countdown.
The game loaded slowly, revealing a warped version of Green Hill Zone. As Sonic appeared on screen, his eyes locked onto mine, unblinking and sinister. I reached for the power button, but my hand froze as the computer whispered my name again.
"Tom..." The voice was soft, almost inaudible, but it sent shivers down my spine.
I spun around, trying to locate the source of the sound, but there was no one there. The whisper seemed to come from all around me, echoing off the walls.
Suddenly, the lights dimmed further, and the air grew thick with an eerie energy. I felt like I was being pulled into the game, trapped in a world of twisted horrors.
Sonic's eyes seemed to bore into my soul, his gaze piercing and malevolent. I tried to look away, but my eyes were fixed on the screen.
The music started, a haunting melody that sent chills down my spine. It was a slow, deliberate tune, each note dripping with menace.
As I watched in horror, Sonic began to move on his own, his movements jerky and unnatural. He twitched and spasmed, his eyes flashing red with an otherworldly energy.
I knew then that I had made a terrible mistake. I should have listened to Kyle's warning and destroyed the CD.
But it was too late now. The game had taken control, and I was trapped in its twisted world.
Sonic's eyes locked onto mine once more, and I felt a cold dread spreading through my veins. I knew that I was in grave danger, that the game was going to consume me whole.
