I sat in class, listening to the teacher ramble on, my mind elsewhere.

I loved math, but today I just couldn't focus.

I smiled slightly as I remembered when I first cut my hair short, how scared I was that my parents would hate it.

My parents weren't so fond of it though, saying that I looked like a boy now.
