I heard a familiar voice call out behind me and I spun around just in time to see a plastic cup flying in my direction.
Without thinking, I reached out and caught it, the cold liquid splashing over my knuckles as I grinned at the tall, sexy guy who’d thrown it my way.
"Thanks, now I’m going to need a drink to go with this one."
I laughed and he smiled back, his brown hair messy as he pushed it out of his eyes.
I’d seen him around campus before but we’d never really talked until now.
I was at a party, standing on the back porch of some house I didn’t even know the name of.
The party was huge, spilling out onto the lawn and into the neighbor’s yard across the street.
The neighbor who was very angry about it.
I’d come with my best friend, Lucas Reed.
He was Ethan’s best friend and roommate.
Ethan was the guy who had thrown me the cup.
See, simple.
Well, not so simple if you knew what kind of party this was.
It wasn’t just any party.
It was a party thrown by the basketball team, and they didn’t usually let freshmen attend.
Lucas had somehow managed to score us an invitation though, probably because he was good friends with one of the upperclassmen on the team.
