Captain Man's lair is the most amazing place I've ever seen.
It's like a giant playground, but instead of slides and swings, there are laser beams, trap doors, and secret passages.
And instead of balls and toys, there are gadgets and machines that Captain Man uses to fight crime and protect Swellview City from villains.
As Kid Danger, it's my job to help him do that.
But right now, Captain Man is nowhere to be found.
"Where's your dad?"
I ask Charlotte.
She shrugs.
"He's probably in the bathroom."
Charlotte is Captain Man's daughter, but also my best friend.
She's tall with straight blonde hair and an intelligent look on her face at all times.
"Let's go check," I say.
We walk through the Man Cave, past the row of computers, the giant silver egg that shoots out capsules of chocolate cake, and Jasper who sits behind the counter of the convenience store that fronts as Captain Man's secret lair.
"Hey guys!"
Jasper says with his usual smile.
Jasper is short with messy black hair and a big grin on his face at all times.
He also works for Captain Man and is our friend.
"What are you doing?"
"We're looking for Captain Man," Charlotte says.
"He's not in his office. Do you know where he is?"
Jasper shakes his head.
