Theirs was a forbidden love.
But I didn’t care.
I loved him.
And he loved me.
We were both from different worlds, but that didn’t matter.
Our love was stronger than any distance, any obstacle.
He was a Death Eater, and the son of a man who had been a Death Eater before him.
His family had more gold than they knew what to do with, and they were one of the most respected pure-blood families in the wizarding world.
I was the granddaughter of a dark wizard, and a dark witch in my own right.
My loyalties remained with my grandfather, and his followers, known as the Grindelwalds.
Our love was a secret.
It had to be.
No one could know that Draco Malfoy, heir of the Malfoys, was dating Arya Grindelwald, the granddaughter of Gellert Grindelwald.
We met in the shadows, away from prying eyes.
The Room of Requirement became our sanctuary.
I pushed open the door and found Draco already there, pacing.
He looked up, his silver eyes meeting mine.
"Arya," he breathed, relief washing over his face.
"Draco," I whispered back, closing the door behind me.
He crossed the room in three long strides and pulled me into his arms.
For a moment, we just held each other, the weight of our secret pressing down on us.
"I missed you," he murmured into my hair.
"I missed you too," I replied, my voice muffled against his chest.
We pulled apart slightly, and he cupped my face in his hands.
"How much longer can we keep this up?" he asked, his voice tinged with desperation.
"As long as we have to," I said firmly. "I won't let them tear us apart."
He sighed and rested his forehead against mine.
"I wish things were different," he said softly.
"So do I," I admitted. "But we have to be careful. If anyone finds out..."
"I know," he interrupted. "It could mean the end for both of us."
We stood there in silence for a moment, the gravity of our situation hanging heavy in the air.
Then Draco pulled back and took my hand.
"Come on," he said, leading me to a small table set up in the corner of the room. "I brought something for you."
I followed him, curiosity piqued.
On the table was a small velvet box.
He picked it up and handed it to me, a nervous smile playing on his lips.
I opened it to find a delicate silver necklace with a small emerald pendant.
"It's beautiful," I said, touched by the gesture. "Thank you."
He took the necklace from the box and fastened it around my neck.
"It belonged to my mother," he said quietly. "She gave it to me before... before everything changed."
I reached up and touched the pendant, feeling a surge of emotion.
"I'll treasure it always," I promised.
He smiled and kissed me gently on the lips.
Just then, a loud crash echoed through the room, making us both jump.
We turned to see Pansy Parkinson standing in the doorway, her eyes wide with shock and betrayal.
"What is going on here?" she demanded, her voice trembling with anger.
"Pansy!" Draco exclaimed, stepping in front of me protectively. "This isn't what it looks like."
"Oh really?" she sneered. "Because it looks like you're cozying up to Grindelwald's granddaughter!"
"Pansy, please," I began, but she cut me off with a furious glare.
"Save it!" she spat. "Do you have any idea what you've done? If anyone finds out about this..."
"They won't," Draco said firmly. "We'll make sure of it."
Pansy shook her head in disbelief.
"You can't be serious," she said. "This is madness!"
"It's love," Draco replied quietly.
"And it's worth any risk."
Pansy looked between us, her expression torn between anger and confusion.
Finally, she turned on her heel and stormed out of the room without another word.
Draco and I stood there in stunned silence, our hearts pounding in our chests.
"We have to be more careful," I whispered finally.
"Agreed," he said grimly.
