I was sitting in my dorm room when I got an unexpected text.
"Hey Ethan want to come over for a sleepover?"
It was from Sarah Jennings.
Sarah was a junior at my high school when I was a freshman.
We met in the library where I was studying for my math test.
She came up to me and asked if I knew anything about the subject.
I told her I did and she asked if I could help her study.
We spent the next two hours going over the material.
After we were done she thanked me and left.
Over the next few years, we became friends.
We would hang out at each other's houses and study for our tests together.
When she went off to college, we kept in touch with texts and occasional phone calls.
Now that I was in college, I wondered what she meant by a "sleepover".
Was she looking for tutoring again?
Did she want to hang out and catch up?
Or was something else going on?
I decided to ask her.
"What do you mean by a sleepover?"
"I mean we'll eat pizza watch some movies and go to bed"
was her response.
This didn't sound like she wanted tutoring so I asked, "Who all is going to be there?"
"It will be me, you and Emily"

I have been trying to get her to notice me since high school.
I would look at her and try to get her to look back at me but she never would.
