We do a few more takes of me carrying Adam along the shoreline, and then the director calls for a break.
I slowly lower myself to the ground, and Adam slides off my back.
I sit on the sand, catching my breath and wiping the sweat from my forehead.
The director comes over to us and says, "One more take, from a different angle. Then we can wrap up for the day."
I nod, getting to my feet.
My muscles are tired from carrying Adam around, but I know I can do one more take.
Adam smiles at me, giving me the energy to keep going.
He climbs back onto my back, his warm chest pressing against my shoulders while his arms wrap securely around my neck.
His legs wrap around my hips once again, and I adjust my footing in the wet sand.
The ocean spray cools my skin as I stand there, waiting for the director to call "action."
Adam’s breath tickles my ear as he whispers something to me.
"Remember when we did this before, and you told me your secret?" he murmurs.
I pause, my heart skipping a beat.
"You mean the one about my crush on you?" I reply softly, feeling the weight of the moment.
