When I get to the beach the following morning, I’m surprised to find that I’m not the first to arrive.
There’s someone else already there, standing in the water with his back to me.
I can’t see his face, but there’s something about him that’s instantly familiar.
As I step off the trailer and onto the sand, I feel a jolt of electricity run through my body.
It’s a sensation I haven’t experienced in a long time, and it instantly makes me think of him.
I take another step forward, and suddenly I know who it is.
Noah Fox turns around and smiles at me.
"Hi," he says.
"Long time no see."
"It’s been ages," I agree.
We both stand there for a moment, looking at each other.
I can’t believe how much he’s grown.
When we worked together before, he was eleven and I was thirteen.
Now he’s twenty-one and I’m twenty-two.
He looks so different now, but at the same time he’s still the same.
His eyes are just as dreamy as they were then, and his hair is just as messy.
He’s wearing a speedo just like he did all those years ago, and his bare feet are sunk into the sand.
Seaside Reunion
I laugh nervously, eyeing his muscular frame.
He’s not the scrawny little kid I could easily hoist onto my back anymore.
The rest of the crew starts to arrive and begins setting up cameras and lights around us.
Mason comes over with his clipboard and looks at us both.
"Are you two ready?" he asks.
Noah stretches his arms out to the side and makes a show of flexing his muscles.
"Ready when you are," he says.
I reach up and adjust the strap on my bikini top, stalling for time.
"Only one way to find out," I finally say, turning my back to him.
Noah steps closer to me and I can feel his warm breath on the back of my neck.
He jumps up onto my back and I stagger a little under his weight, laughing.
I reach up and grab his legs to steady myself, and he wraps his arms around my neck.
"Okay, let’s go," Mason says.
We start walking across the beach, heading for the water.
The crew follows us with the cameras, capturing our movements from every angle.
Noah’s laughter rings out in my ear as I walk.
I can feel the sand between my toes and the wind in my hair.
"Okay, slow down," Mason says after we’ve been walking for a few minutes.
"Remember, this is supposed to be a reenactment of you two walking on the beach together when you were kids. It should be a little more nostalgic than this."
I slow down my pace and Noah leans his head against mine.
Seaside Reunion
He whispers something in my ear that makes me smile and I glance over at him.
The cameras zoom in on our faces, catching our reactions. We keep walking until we’re almost at the water’s edge.
Then Mason calls out for us to stop and we turn around to look at him.
"Great," he says.
"Now let’s try it again."
We do it several more times before he tells us to take a break.
Noah slides down off of my back and I set him down gently on the sand.
"Hey," Noah says, brushing sand off his legs, "do you remember the last time we were here?"
I nod, feeling a mix of nostalgia and something else I can't quite place.
"Yeah," he continues, his voice softer now, "that's when I realized I never wanted to lose you."
Seaside Reunion
Mason calls for a break and I head back to my trailer to get some water.
I'm not sure how many more times I can carry Noah on my back before I collapse from exhaustion.
I'm not as strong as I used to be, and he's definitely heavier than he was when we were kids.
When I get to my trailer, I find Julian sitting on the couch in his swim trunks.
He looks up at me and scowls.
"Where have you been?" he asks.
"I've been waiting around here all morning while you and Noah monopolized the shoot."
I shrug and reach for a bottle of water in the fridge.
"Sorry," I say, "but it's not my fault that Mason wanted to do so many takes."
Julian stands up and walks over to me.
Seaside Reunion
"You think you're so special, don't you?" he says, his voice low and menacing.
"Well, let me tell you something. You're not as special as you think you are."
I roll my eyes and take a sip of water.
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about how you think you can carry Noah on your back but not me," he says, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Well, let me tell you something. I'm just as heavy as he is. And if you can carry him, then you should be able to carry me too." I sigh and set my water bottle down on the counter.
"Look, Julian, I don't have time for this right now," I say.
"But if it'll make you feel any better, then fine. Let's go out there and see if I can carry you."
Julian smirks and turns around to walk out of the trailer.
I follow behind him, feeling like a fool.
When we get back out onto the beach, Mason looks up at us in surprise.
"What are you two doing?" he asks.
"We're going to do a piggyback ride," Julian says, walking over to where the cameras are set up.
Mason looks at me questioningly and I shrug.
"Sure," he says finally, "let's do it."
Julian gets into position in front of me and I bend down to grab his legs.
He jumps up onto my back and wraps his arms around my neck.
The crew gathers around us with their cameras, ready to capture our movements. "Okay," Mason says, "let's go."
I start walking across the beach with Julian on my back.
Julian leans in close and whispers, "You know, I overheard something interesting about Noah."
Seaside Reunion
I try to keep my voice steady as I ask, "What did you hear?"
He chuckles softly, "Let's just say he's not here just for the shoot; he's got a hidden agenda."
During lunch break, Emma corners me near the catering tent.
Her eyes are sparkling with mischief as she points at me.
"You know, I noticed something interesting today," she says.
"When you carried Noah, you did it so naturally. You didn't even hesitate. But when you carried Julian, it was all mechanical and tense. It was like you didn't want to touch him."
I shrug and try to act nonchalant.
"Maybe that's because Noah is more my type," I say, trying to sound casual.
Emma narrows her eyes at me.
"Oh really? So you have a type now?"
I laugh nervously and grab a sandwich from the table.
"Yeah, well, maybe I do," I say, shoving the sandwich into my mouth to avoid further questions.
Seaside Reunion
But Emma isn't having it.
She grabs my arm and pulls me towards her.
"Listen, I don't care who you like more," she says.
"But what I do care about is that we all cool off after this shoot. And I know just the way to do it."
"What are you talking about?"
I ask, feeling a knot in my stomach.
"We're going to have a chicken fight in the ocean!"
Emma exclaims, pulling me towards the water.
"And you're coming with us!"
I look over at Noah and Julian, who are both grinning at me.
Noah immediately starts stripping off his shirt while Julian methodically removes his designer watch. "Come on," Noah says, winking at me.
"It'll be fun."
Before I can protest any further, Emma is already charging towards the water with Noah and Julian close behind her.
I have no choice but to follow them into the waves.
As we wade deeper into the ocean, Emma explains the rules of the chicken fight.
"No pushing or shoving allowed," she says sternly.
"And no kicking or hitting b##w the b#t."
Noah grins mischievously at me while Julian looks like he's planning his attack strategy.
I can feel my heart pounding in my chest as we prepare for the fight.
The waves crash around us, and as the sun sets on the horizon, I realize this is where everything changes.
Seaside Reunion
I dive into the water, Noah on my shoulders.
Emma and Julian are already in position, ready for the chicken fight to begin.
The cool waves splash against us, and I can feel Noah's grip tightening on my arms as we advance slowly towards them.
"Okay, let's do this," Emma shouts, her voice ringing out above the sound of the waves.
We start moving forward, our eyes fixed on each other as we wait for the right moment to strike.
I can feel Noah's weight shifting on my shoulders, and I know he's planning his attack strategy too.
As we get closer to Emma and Julian, I can see the tension building in their bodies.
Julian is glaring at me with a competitive glint in his eye while Emma is giving me a reassuring smile.
I take a deep breath and steady myself in the sand beneath the water.
Noah leans forward slightly, his voice whispering in my ear as he tells me what to do next. "Okay, now!" he whispers, and I feel his weight shift forward as he lunges at Julian.
At the same time, I feel Emma grab onto my arm and try to pull me down into the water.
But I'm not going down without a fight.
Seaside Reunion
I dig my feet into the sand and push back against her, trying to stay upright as she pulls at me with all her might.
Noah is laughing now, his voice echoing through the air as he fights with Julian.
The two of them are splashing around in the water, their bodies twisting and turning as they try to get the upper hand.
Meanwhile, Emma is still pulling at me with all her strength, trying to bring me down into the water.
But I'm determined not to let that happen.
"Hey, Emma," Noah calls out between breaths, "did you know Julian's been keeping a secret from all of us?"
Emma pauses her tugging and looks at Julian with raised eyebrows.
Julian, caught off guard, stammers, "Noah, don't you dare—"
Seaside Reunion
I seize the moment and lunge forward, knocking Julian off balance.
He falls into the water with a splash, and I feel a rush of triumph mixed with guilt.
Noah steadies himself on my shoulders, grinning at our victory.
Emma helps Julian up, shooting me a curious glance.
The waves continue to lap at our legs as we all catch our breath.
Noah leans down, his voice low in my ear.
"You know, I think Julian's secret might be more than just a rumor."
I nod, my mind racing with possibilities.
We wade back to shore, the tension between us palpable.
Seaside Reunion
After the chicken fight, Noah suggests we switch partners for the next scene.
I'm taken aback by his sudden change of heart, but I agree to go along with it.
We head back to the beach, where Mason is waiting for us with a curious expression on his face.
"Okay, guys," he says, "let's get started on the next scene. We're going to do another piggyback shot, but this time, Noah will be carrying Emma and Julian will be carrying you."
I nod and turn to Julian, who looks like he's about to explode.
"Come on," I say, gesturing for him to climb onto my back.
He hesitates for a moment before finally giving in and climbing onto my shoulders.
As we walk across the sand, I can feel Julian's tension radiating off of him.
Noah and Emma are laughing and splashing around in the shallows, completely carefree.
I can't help but feel a little jealous of their easy chemistry.
The camera starts rolling and I carry Julian across the sand, his weight digging into my shoulders.
As we walk, he whispers in my ear, "You need to stay away from Noah. He's trouble."
Seaside Reunion
I ignore him and keep walking, trying not to let his words get to me.
Seaside Reunion
Emma suggests we do another chicken fight, and I agree.
We pair up again, with Noah on my shoulders and Julian on Emma's.
As we wade into the ocean, the waves splash against us and I can feel Noah's grip tightening on my arms.
The game begins and Noah leans forward, his voice whispering in my ear.
"Julian's secret is more than just a rumor," he says.
"It's something that could ruin everything."
I try to focus on the game, but I can't stop thinking about what Noah just said.
Julian and Emma are advancing towards us, their movements quick and aggressive.
I can see the determination in Julian's eyes as he lunges at Noah.
The two of them collide in a splash of water, their bodies twisting and turning as they fight for dominance.
Meanwhile, Emma is trying to pull me down into the water, but I'm not going to let her win that easily.
I dig my feet into the sand and push back against her with all my might.
Seaside Reunion
As the battle rages on, I catch Julian's eye for a moment and see a cold glint of anger there.
He knows that I know his secret, and he's not happy about it. Suddenly, Noah lunges forward and knocks Julian off balance.
Julian falls into the water with a splash, his body sinking beneath the surface for a moment before he comes up gasping for air.
Emma looks at Julian, concern etched on her face.
"Julian, what's going on?" she asks, her voice barely audible over the waves.
Julian wipes the water from his eyes and mutters, "It's nothing, just some old stuff I thought I'd left behind."
Seaside Reunion
After I win my fourth chicken fight, I suggest a twist.
"How about two rounds of guys versus girls? We switch p####s after the first round."
Noah grins.
"Yeah, let's do it."
Julian looks like he's about to object, but then he just shrugs and says, "Sure."
Emma laughs.
"Bring it on."
We stand in the ocean, the water lapping at our waists.
Emma climbs onto my shoulders, her hands gripping my arms tightly.
Across from us, Noah m##s Julian, and I can see the competitive glint in his eyes as he looks at me.
"Let's do this," he says.
Mason gives the signal and we charge forward, the guys trying to knock us off balance.
I focus on keeping steady, feeling Emma's weight shift as she leans to push Noah.
Julian tries to grab onto Emma's legs, but she kicks him away with a splash.
The guys are relentless, but we're determined to win.
We splash and struggle, the competition fierce but fun.
Seaside Reunion
We're standing in the ocean, the waves lapping against our legs.
Emma's on my shoulders now, her hands gripping my arms tightly as we braced ourselves for the battle
Noah and Julian are facing us, their faces set with determination.
Mason shouts "Go!" and we charge forward.
Noah leans forward, trying to push Emma off my shoulders, but she holds tight.
I can feel the muscles in her legs tensing as she digs her heels into my back.
Meanwhile, I'm focusing on keeping my balance as Julian tries to knock me off my feet.
The water splashes around us, making it harder to stay steady.
I plant my feet firmly in the sand and concentrate on keeping Emma upright.
In that moment of chaos, I realize the game is more than just a game now.
Seaside Reunion
After we win the first round, Emma and I switch positions.
I climb onto her shoulders, feeling the water lap against us as we get ready for the next round.
Noah and Julian are standing across from us, their faces set with determination.
Mason shouts "Go!" and we charge forward.
Emma grips my legs tightly as I lean forward, trying to unbalance Noah, who's sitting on Julian's shoulders.
The waves splash around us, making it hard to stay steady.
I reach out to push Noah off, but he's too strong.
Below me, Emma and Julian are struggling to knock each other down.
Seaside Reunion
I squeeze my t##s around Emma's head, trying to keep my balance.
She lets out a moan, and I know it's not just from the effort of fighting.
I can feel her face turning red as she tries to compose herself.
Noah and Julian manage to push me off Emma's shoulders, but I'm more worried about her reaction than the loss.
Seaside Reunion
I hoist Emma back onto my shoulders, feeling her tense up.
She's still flustered from what happened earlier, and I can tell she's trying to avoid eye contact with me.
We face Noah and Julian in the ocean, the waves lapping against our legs.
Emma's grip on my arms tightens as Mason shouts "Go!"
Noah and Julian charge at us, their faces set with determination.
I can feel Emma's legs tensing as she tries to stay balanced on my shoulders.
But before we can even reach them, Emma slips off my shoulders and splashes into the water.
Noah and Julian reach us, and I quickly reach out to help Emma up.
She looks embarrassed as she wipes her hair out of her face.
Noah laughs, trying to lighten the mood.
Seaside Reunion
After the chicken fights, I notice Emma still avoiding me.
Her face is still flushed with embarrassment, and she's barely looking at me.
I try to reassure her that it's okay, but she just nods and keeps her distance.
Mason calls us over, looking a bit flustered.
"Alright guys, there's been a change of plans," he says, looking at his watch.
"We're running behind schedule, so we need to move things along. Instead of filming the scene with Noah, I'm going to have you do it with Emma."
He gestures to the beach where the crew is setting up.
"Let's head back and get started."
We make our way back to the beach, where the crew is busy setting up lights and cameras.
Mason explains what he wants us to do, gesturing to the piggyback scene we just filmed in the water.
"This time, I want you to do it on land," he says.
"Emma will climb on your back and you'll walk across the sand."
Seaside Reunion
He looks at us both, making sure we understand.
"Got it?"
We nod, and Mason tells us to get into position.
I walk over to Emma, who's standing a few feet away from me.
She looks nervous as I approach her.
"Ready?" I ask her softly.
She nods, and I kneel down so she can climb onto my back. She hesitates for a moment before putting her hands on my shoulders and hoisting herself up onto my back.
I feel her tense up as she wraps her legs around my waist, holding onto my shoulders tightly.
I stand up slowly, feeling her weight on my back as Mason shouts "Action!"
I start walking across the sand, feeling Emma's grip tighten around me as I move.
I can hear her breathing shallowly behind me as we walk towards the camera.
We finish the first take and Mason tells us to do it again.
This time, he wants us to walk closer to the water so he can get a better shot of the sunset in the background.
We get into position again and I feel Emma's tension as she climbs onto my back once more. We finish three takes before Mason is satisfied with what he has captured on film.
As we take a break, Emma finally speaks up, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Did you feel it too, or was it just me?" she asks, her eyes searching mine.
I don't say anything, and Emma scoops me up in her arms and starts carrying me away from the beach set.
We walk in silence, the only sounds being the crunch of sand under her feet and the distant laughter of our crew.
She carries me to a secluded cove, where she gently sets me down on the sand.
Her face is serious as she sits down beside me, her eyes searching mine.
I can see her gathering her thoughts before she speaks again.
"Did you feel it?" she asks, her voice soft but urgent.
I nod slowly, unsure of what to say next.
Emma takes a deep breath before continuing.
"I know this is going to sound crazy, but I think there's something between us," she says, her voice filled with emotion.
"I felt it when we were in the water, and again when we did the piggyback scene on land. It's like there's this connection between us that I can't ignore."
Seaside Reunion
I look at her, trying to process what she's saying.
I can see the sincerity in her eyes, and I know that she's not just saying this to get a reaction out of me. "I know this is a lot to take in," she continues, her voice trembling slightly.
"But I have to be honest with myself and with you. I think there's something special between us, and I want to explore it further."
I sit there for a moment, trying to gather my thoughts.
I can feel my heart pounding in my chest as I try to process what Emma has just said.
I look at her, seeing the vulnerability in her eyes as she waits for my response.
"I don't know what to say," I finally manage to say, my voice barely above a whisper.
Emma nods slowly, understanding written all over her face.
"It's okay," she says softly.
"Just take your time and think about it. I'm not expecting an answer right now."
She pauses for a moment before continuing.
"But please don't shut me out. I need you to know that I'm here for you, no matter what happens."
I nod slowly, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside of me.
I look at Emma, seeing the sincerity in her eyes as she waits for my response. "Thank you," I finally manage to say, my voice filled with emotion.
"Thank you for being honest with me."
Emma smiles softly, reaching out to touch my hand gently.
"I'll always be honest with you," she says softly.
"Do you think we should tell the others?" she asks, her voice tentative yet hopeful.
I hesitate, glancing back towards the beach where everyone else is gathered.
"Maybe not yet," I reply, squeezing her hand reassuringly.
"We should take some time to figure things out for ourselves first."
She nods, her eyes filled with understanding.
"Of course. We'll keep this between us for now."
We sit there in silence for a moment, the sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore filling the air.
I can feel Emma's gaze on me, waiting for me to say something more.
I shift uncomfortably, feeling the weight of her confession settling heavy on my shoulders.
I know that I need to process this revelation, to figure out how I feel about it all.
But for now, I'm not sure what to say or do.
"Let's head back to set," I finally manage to say, standing up and brushing the sand off my legs.
"We still have a lot of filming left to do."
Seaside Reunion
Emma nods, getting up as well.
"Okay. Let's go."
We walk back towards the beach in silence, the tension between us palpable. As we approach the others, I can see Noah and Julian watching us curiously.
I wonder if they suspect anything, but neither of them says anything.
Mason calls us all together, explaining that they're going to film some more scenes before wrapping up for the day.
We all nod, getting into position as Mason shouts "Action!"
As we begin filming again, I can't help but steal glances at Emma from time to time.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around what she confessed earlier, and I'm not sure how to react.
But as we work together on set, I can feel a newfound connection between us that I hadn't noticed before.
It's like there's a spark in the air whenever we're near each other, and it's making me feel both excited and nervous at the same time. As we finish up filming for the day and head back to our hotel rooms, I can't help but think about what Emma said earlier.
Seaside Reunion
I know that I need to take some time to think about it all and figure out how I feel.
But as I lay in bed that night, my mind racing with thoughts of Emma and our connection, I know that this is just the beginning of a journey that will change everything. The next morning, we wake up early to get ready for another long day of filming.
As we make our way downstairs to grab breakfast before heading out to set, I notice Julian sitting alone at a table in the corner of the restaurant.
I slide into the seat across from him, noticing how tense he looks as he picks at his breakfast.
The dining room is bustling with people getting ready to start their day, but Julian's eyes are fixed on me as I settle into my seat.
He leans forward, speaking in hushed tones so that no one else can hear us.
"I have something to tell you," he says, his voice low and serious.
I look at him curiously, wondering what he could possibly want to say to me.
"Yesterday, when we were filming the beach scenes... I couldn't help but watch you and Emma together."
He pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing.
"There's something between you two that I haven't seen before. And it made me realize that I've been hiding my true feelings for far too long."
I stay silent, unsure of how to respond to what he's just said.
Julian reaches across the table and gently brushes his fingers against mine.
Seaside Reunion
It sends shivers down my spine, and I can feel my heart racing as I pull my hand away from his touch. Suddenly, Emma walks back into the dining room after going to the bathroom.
Her eyes land on us, and I can see a mix of confusion and concern on her face.
I quickly stand up from my seat, mumbling an excuse about needing to get some more coffee before we head out to set.
Julian's face falls as I turn away from him, but I don't dare look back in his direction.
Instead, I make my way over to the breakfast buffet, trying to steady my nerves as I pour myself another cup of coffee.
Seaside Reunion
As I wait in line for the barista to make my drink, I can feel Julian's eyes on me from across the room.
Emma approaches me, her expression a mix of curiosity and worry.
"Is everything okay?" she asks softly, glancing over at Julian.
I nod, trying to keep my voice steady. "Yeah, just... a lot on my mind right now."
