I was late.

Stupidly late.

I had allowed myself to get caught up in saying goodbye to my boyfriend and now I was going to be the last person to arrive for the final interview.

I had been through several rounds already and this was it, the last one.

One woman would be hired, one would not.

I quickened my pace, my long blonde hair bouncing with each step.

I wore my tightest jeans and a fitted white shirt, the same outfit I had worn before and been told I looked great in.

I reached the elevator just as the doors were closing, jamming my foot in the crack to prevent them from shutting.

A few annoyed glances came my way, but I didn't care.

Getting a job at this agency was a big deal and I would do whatever it took to get it.
