curious explorer, friends with other protagonists, short brown hair, green eyes, adventurous and skeptical
I was the first to see it.
"Guys, come check this out," I said, calling back to my friends.
Mark and Lisa stopped about ten feet away, looking at me warily.
"What is it?" Mark asked.
"I don't know," I said.
"It looks like some kind of doorway. But it's weird."
The door was white, shining with a soft, eerie light.
It looked like something from Star Trek or Stargate - totally unreal.
That's why my first thought was that it was some kind of prank or joke.
Someone must have built it in the middle of the woods as a prank.
But my gut told me otherwise.
It looked too... real.
"Are you sure it's safe?"
Lisa asked.
Mark snorted.
"We can't even see if it's real," he said.
"How can you ask if it's safe?"
Lisa glared at him.
"I just meant... do you think we should open it."
"Oh, come on," I said, striding over to the door.
