I was born from a secret that no one was supposed to know.
A secret that could get me killed.
My mother was a mortal, but my father was a god.
Well, not just any god, but the King of Gods himself, Zeus.
That made me a demigod.
But here's the thing, I wasn't raised by Zeus on Mount Olympus, nor was I acknowledged by him at all.
My mother had been one of his many conquests, a short-lived affair with a woman who wasn't even worthy of being a queen to him.
At least, that's what she told me.
The only reason why I knew who my father was because she had kept the bed sheets from that night, and over the years they had become so worn out that they had disintegrated into strands of fabric.
So, all I had to remind me of my heavenly heritage were a few threads tied up into a tiny little bag and hidden deep at the back of my closet.
