I’ve been running Carter’s Corner Store for the past five years, and I love it.
The store has been in my family for three generations, and I’m proud to be the one who gets to keep it going.
I love the neighborhood, and I love the people.
I love that I know most of my customers by name, and that they know me.
I love that they come in just to chat, even when they don’t need anything.
I love that I get to be a part of their lives in some small way.
But most of all, I love that I get to be a part of their lives in some small way.
But most of all, I love that I get to be a part of this neighborhood’s history.
Carter’s Corner Store has been here for decades, and it’s seen a lot of changes over the years.
It’s been through good times and bad times, but it’s always been here, a constant presence in the neighborhood.
And I like to think that it always will be.
I’d been working there ever since I was fourteen, and I’d always loved it.
It was a no-brainer for me to accept.
I still remember the first time I walked into the store and saw its original hardwood floors, high ceilings, and aisles of wooden shelves, all filled to overflowing with candy and snacks.
There was an old-fashioned cash register on the counter that was more than fifty years old—and it still worked!
The store has changed a lot since then.
We used to be a grocery store, but now we’re more of a convenience store, offering things like candy, soda, chips, and cigarettes.
We still sell some groceries, but we don’t have the variety that we used to.
I’m proud of the fact that we’ve been able to keep up with the times without sacrificing our traditional charm.
I know it’s a little cheesy, but I love being able to provide my neighbors with the essentials they need to get through the day.
I know that most of them could easily go to one of the big chain stores nearby and get what they need for a little cheaper, but they choose to come here instead so that they can support me and my family.
I’m grateful for their business, and I do everything I can to show my appreciation.
When the pandemic hit, I made sure to stock up on all of the essentials so that no one would have to go without.
I also made sure that our prices stayed reasonable, even when everyone else was raising theirs to take advantage of people who were struggling.
I know that not everyone has it as good as I do, and if there’s anything I can do to help, then I’m happy to do it.
The world is changing so quickly these days, and it’s often hard for small businesses like mine to keep up.
A lot of people are choosing to shop online rather than coming in person, which has caused my sales to drop significantly over the past year or so.
But I don’t want to give up.
I know that there will always be people who prefer to shop in person, and I want to be here for them.
I also believe that there’s something special about being able to walk into a store where everybody knows your name, and I don’t want that to go away.
This neighborhood has always been a hub for small businesses, and while it’s not as busy as it used to be, there are still plenty of us here.
We all support each other in any way we can, and I think that’s important.
We’re more than just stores.
We’re family—and we don’t want to lose that.
That’s why I’m doing everything in my power to make sure that Carter’s Corner Store is here for many years to come.
Running a small store like Carter’s Corner Store means that we have limited space to work with.
But while we might not have room for every item under the sun, we do our best to make sure that we have everything our customers need to get by.
Our store is relatively small compared to the bigger supermarkets around us, but we make up for it by carrying a variety of items that cater to different tastes.
You won’t find five different brands of ketchup on our shelves, but you will find plenty of other things that you might not be able to find anywhere else.
We’ve got it all—fresh fruit and vegetables; canned goods, boxed items like rice and pasta; bread; milk; eggs; chips; candy; soda; cigarettes; newspapers; magazines; cleaning supplies; personal hygiene products; condiments; baking ingredients; ice cream; pet food; toilet paper; paper towels; first-aid supplies…you name it!
Some of these items might only be available in limited quantities or brands, depending on what we can get from our suppliers at the time.
But we do our best to make sure that we always have something for everyone.
And we even carry a few household goods like light bulbs, batteries, and extension cords.
Carter’s Corner Store is a one-stop shop for all your needs!
A lot of the products we stock are from big brands that everyone knows and loves.
But we also carry some items from smaller or local businesses that you might not be able to find at the bigger stores in town.
I think it’s important to support local businesses whenever possible, and I’m always excited when we’re able to work with a new vendor in the area.
Not only does it give me the chance to try out some new products and see if my customers like them, but it also helps me build relationships with other people in the community who might be able to help me out in the future.
It’s a win-win for everyone!
The pandemic has made it more challenging for us to work with some of the smaller businesses in our area since they’ve been struggling so much lately.
But I’m hopeful that things will get better soon and we’ll be able to continue building those relationships for years to come.
When the pandemic first hit last year, we had to make some changes to the way we run our store in order to keep everyone safe.
We started offering curbside pickup and delivery services so that people wouldn’t have to come in person if they didn’t want to or couldn’t get out of their homes.
It took a little bit of time for us to get everything set up properly since we’d never offered these services before, but eventually it all came together.
Our customers were so grateful for the convenience—and for the fact that they could still get what they needed even when they were stuck at home.
I was grateful for their support too since it helped us keep going during such a difficult time.
Running Carter’s Corner Store has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
I know my grandparents and parents would be proud of everything I’ve done here since taking over from them—and I’m proud of myself too.
I Love Coming Here
I’ve been coming to Carter’s Corner Store for as long as I can remember—and so have my parents and grandparents before me.
It was the place they went to shop for groceries and household supplies, and it’s the place my husband and I go to do the same today.
I’ve always loved this store and everything it stands for—the history, the charm, the sense of community that comes with shopping here.
There’s just something special about Carter’s Corner Store that you can’t find anywhere else—and I think that’s what sets us apart from the bigger retailers in town.
We may not be as big or fancy as some of the other stores in the area, but we’ve got character and heart—and a willingness to do whatever it takes to make our customers happy!
Whether you need a loaf of bread or a can of paint, Carter’s Corner Store is the place to go in town to get what you need quickly and easily—and with a smile on your face too!
One of the things that makes Carter’s Corner Store so special is the fact that we know our customers so well.
Whenever someone walks through our doors, we’re able to greet them by name—and remember all their favorite products too!
We know what type of bread they like and how they take their coffee in the morning.
We’re happy to set aside a special bottle of wine or a jar of honey for them if we know they like it so much that they want to make sure they don’t miss out on the chance to buy some.
At the end of the day, we’re not just here to sell products—we’re here to form lasting relationships with the people who shop here too!
Although it might be more convenient to shop online or head to one of the bigger supermarkets in town, nothing can ever replace the personal touch we offer our customers at Carter’s Corner Store.
One of the things that makes shopping at Carter’s Corner Store so unique is the way we sell our products to our customers.
Instead of just pointing them in the right direction and sending them on their way, we like to spend some time telling them a little bit about what they’re buying and how they can use it at home too!
We’ll share recipe ideas and cooking tips with our customers to help make their lives easier and more delicious all at the same time.
If we’re out of stock on something or don’t have exactly what someone is looking for, we’re happy to take down their information and see if we can get it in stock for them in the future too!
Carter’s Corner Store isn’t just a place to shop—it’s a place to come together and share stories with your neighbors and friends too!
That’s what Mrs.Our longtime customer said the other day when she stopped by to pick up some milk and eggs.
