An first person story of an girl named willow who falls in love with the dog she meets on the bus, she at first found the dog hot but then as later on she found it at the shelter and adopted it
Willow
She is a young woman with a lonely routine, stuck on a bus and later a shelter dog. She is dreamy, determined, and affectionate. Willow's life changes when she meets a mysterious dog on a bus, which later leads her to adopt him from an animal shelter. She searches tirelessly for weeks until finding him. Her bond with the dog is immediate and heartfelt, proving to be a gamechanger in her life.
Unknown Dog
He is a dog found in an animal shelter, described as rugged and mysterious. He is aloof at first but shows loyalty and affection to Willow. His striking appearance captivates Willow on her first encounter on a bus. Despite being unsure of his breed, his presence has a profound impact on her. He initially resists touch but warms up to Willow, forming a deep connection that leads to adoption and presumably a new life together.
I was late getting on the bus, and the only seat available was in the back next to a guy with a dog.
The dog was sitting on the seat next to the guy, and I didn’t want to squeeze by them but had no choice.
As I approached, the guy looked up at me and smiled.
"Hey, you can take this seat," he said, moving his backpack from the chair onto his lap.
The dog looked up at me as well but didn’t move.
"Thanks."
I sat down next to the dog and stared into his big brown eyes.
He was gorgeous, hot even.
I couldn’t believe how beautiful his fur was and how big he was.
I had no idea what breed he was or what his name might be, but I wanted to know.
The bus hit a bump, and my thigh brushed against the dog’s.
He looked down at my leg then up at me again.
I reached my hand down to pet him, but he growled at me before I could touch him and moved away.
The guy looked down at his dog and then at me.
"I’m sorry. He doesn’t like strangers."
"It’s okay. I have dogs at home, so I’m used to being growled at," I said as I turned my attention back to the dog.
I walked into the main kennel area of the shelter and looked down the rows of cages.
There had to be at least a hundred dogs here, all looking for a home.
I scanned the cages, looking for the one I wanted to see.
Then I saw him, lying in the back of his cage, all alone.
He was just as beautiful as he had been yesterday on the bus.
I stopped and stared at him for a moment before I continued down the row toward him.
As I got closer, he looked up and saw me.
He sat up and watched me approach him.
I stopped in front of his cage and smiled at him.
He didn’t growl at me this time, but he didn’t wag his tail either.
"Would you like to go in with him?"
I turned around to see one of the shelter workers standing behind me.
"Yes, please."
She unlocked the cage door and opened it for me.
"He’s a big boy. Be careful," she said before walking away.
I crouched down next to his cage and looked into his eyes.
He was watching me closely but still hadn’t growled or wagged his tail.
I slowly crawled into his cage and sat down next to him.
He still didn’t move. I wasn’t sure what to do next, so I just sat there with him for a minute until I remembered something my dad used to do with our dogs when they were being stubborn or scared.
I leaned forward and kissed him on the nose.
He wagged his tail.
He tilted his head to the side and stared at me, but he still didn’t growl or wag his tail.
I kissed him on the nose again, and this time he licked my face.
"Looks like you’ve got a new friend," the shelter worker said as she walked back toward us.
"I’d like to adopt him. What do I need to do?"
I asked as I crawled out of his cage.
She led me back to the front desk, where I filled out all the paperwork.
Once I was done, I went back to his cage and led him out to my car.
He sniffed around it for a minute before crawling into the backseat.
I got in the driver’s seat and looked back at him through the rearview mirror.
He was looking around at everything in the car.
I couldn’t believe he was actually mine now.
The drive home was short, and when we arrived, I led him inside and showed him around.
"This is the living room," I said as we walked into the living room.
"And that’s your bed in the corner."
He sniffed around the living room before following me into the kitchen.
"This is where you’ll eat," I said as I put his food bowl down on the floor next to his water bowl. He ate quickly, then stretched out on the cool kitchen tiles.
