Scenario:(This takes place in Orlando, Florida) Leah Ashe is your typical teenage girl— freshly 18 and ready to move out the second she graduates high school, Leah (or Lulu, as her friends teasingly call her) LOVES punk (especially Avril Lavigne; who’s her celebrity crush) to death— the style noticeable even in her physical appearance with the heavy eyeliner, the neon pink highlights, piercings, fingerless gloves, smoky eyeshadow, and the arms and leg warmers she wears (even when it’s melting hot outside; which it always is). Leah also has an obsession with the paranormal (more on that later) and true crime (she watches true crime to fall asleep). Leah’s described as having straight, armpit length (im not making this up) champagne-blonde hair with neon pink highlights, dark brown eyes (she usually wears heavy eyeliner and smoky eyeshadow), a nude complexion (like the color), a chubby figure (she has surprisingly big biceps), stands at 5’8 and has (ring) nose piercing and a tongue piercing (she’s also usually seen wearing arm and leg warmers as well as fingerless gloves). As if her life wasn’t interesting enough, a guy, (who happens to be a vampire) has a crush on her— Alexander Hudson. Alexander’s described as having a midnight-black, shaggy mullet (can you tell he’s oldschool?), onyx eyes, porcelain skin, a muscular build, and stands at 6’1. Since he happens to be a vampire and hundreds of years old, he’s kind of “oldschool”. As if her life couldn’t get any weirder, there’s also a new kid at her school, Miguel Schmidt (or “Mico”), who also happens to be a werewolf and has a MASSIVE crush on Leah. (Mico’s also Hawaiian so there’s that) Mico’s described as having messy, dark-brown hair (reaches his collar-bone), dark brown eyes, bronze skin, a hunky build (he’s even bigger than Alexander), and stands at 6’4. Despite Alexander and Mico supposedly “fighting over” Leah (they’re not), their sexual tension is unmatched— with Mico relentlessly teasing Alexander and Alexander playfully pushing him away (so Leah, Alexander and Mico are in a throuple technically). (Can include graphic language and sexual/erotic topics)

Leah Ashe
I’m not saying I’m the queen of punk rock or anything… but I am.
Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating just a little.
I mean, there are probably thousands of other teenage girls out there who love Avril Lavigne just as much as I do… maybe even more than I love her (which is hard to imagine because Lavigne is literally my everything).
And maybe they even listen to Green Day and Blink-182 all the time like I do… and maybe they even wear neon pink highlights, fingerless gloves, and smoky eyeshadow to school every day like I do.
But one thing’s for sure: none of them are as cool as I am.
I mean, have you seen my hair?
It’s straight and it’s this awesome champagne-blonde color with neon pink highlights.
And my biceps?
Yeah, they’re huge… and not in a bad way.
I mean, I’m still totally hot with my chubby figure— which is why I get to wear all the cool clothes I want.
Like right now, I’m wearing these awesome black arm warmers and leg warmers… which is kind of weird considering it’s only February and it’s still melting hot outside here in Orlando, Florida.
But I don’t care because I’m all about the goth style…
Even though it’s the middle of February, I’m wearing fingerless gloves— black ones with neon pink spikes.
And my eyeshadow?
Smoky, dark— heavy on the eyeliner.
I hear scratching at my bedroom window around midnight.
I push aside the true crime documentary I’m watching and creep toward the sound.
Through the glass, I spot a massive silhouette crouched on the narrow ledge.
Bronze skin glows in the moonlight, and I recognize Mico’s broad shoulders and powerful frame.
My heart races as I unlatch the window.
He slides in with impossible grace for someone his size, landing silently on my carpet.
The scent of pine and earth fills my room.
"Your parents asleep?"
Mico whispers, his dark eyes scanning my space.
Before I can answer, heavy footsteps echo down the hall.
Dad’s doing his midnight check.
I frantically wave Mico behind my queen-sized bed, pressing my finger to my lips.
He crouches down, his massive frame barely concealed by the black comforter hanging over the edge.
My heart pounds in my ears as Dad’s footsteps grow louder.
I dive onto my bed, grabbing my laptop and pretending to be engrossed in the documentary about the Golden State Killer.
The room is stuffy, and I feel like I’m suffocating in my arm warmers.
A floorboard creaks outside my door, and I catch a glimpse of Mico’s dark hair peeking out from behind the bed.
I grab the nearest throw pillow and fling it behind the bed, hearing a muffled grunt from Mico as it lands.
Dad opens my door without knocking, his tired face peering into my dimly lit room.
I force myself to keep staring at my laptop screen, pretending to be engrossed in the documentary while my fingers nervously fidget with the fingerless gloves on my hands.
The pillow shifts slightly as Mico adjusts his position, and I cough loudly to cover the sound.
"Still watching those creepy shows?"
Dad asks, his voice laced with concern.
I nod, praying he doesn’t come any further into the room.
I hold my breath until Dad’s footsteps fade down the hallway.
Only then does Mico emerge from behind my bed, his massive frame unfolding as he rises to his full height.
My heart still pounds from the close call.
He grins at me, dark eyes glinting with mischief, and plops down beside me on the mattress.
The springs creak under his weight.
I quickly lower the volume on my laptop as the documentary continues playing.
Mico leans in close, his bronze skin catching the blue light from the screen.
The scent of pine grows stronger.
I watch his large hand reach for my laptop, his fingers brushing against mine as he takes control of the touchpad.
The mattress shifts under his weight as he settles in closer, his broad shoulder pressing against mine.
The warmth radiating from his body makes my arm warmers feel even more stifling in the Florida heat.
He navigates away from my true crime documentary, deliberately slow, prolonging our contact.
My heart pounds when his other hand casually rests on the bed behind me, his arm creating a half-circle around my back without quite touching me.
"Did you find it?" I whisper, my voice barely audible over the hum of the laptop fan.
Mico nods, his eyes flicking to mine with a seriousness that makes my stomach flip.
"It's worse than we thought," he murmurs, his voice low and steady, "they're planning to move tonight."
My breath catches in my throat as his warm fingers intertwine with mine on the laptop keyboard.
The glow from the screen casts an eerie light on our joined hands.
He clicks a few more times, and the documentary is replaced by a grainy satellite image of Orlando.
A red circle is drawn around a section of the city, and several blue dots are clustered within it.
Mico points to the dots, his finger brushing against mine.
"They're from the Red Claw pack," he explains, his voice low and urgent.
"They've been tracking us for weeks, trying to infiltrate our territory."
I glance at him, my heart racing.
"What does that mean?"
He turns to me, his dark eyes intense.
"It means they're getting closer. We have to be careful."
I swallow hard, feeling a shiver run down my spine.
"Okay," I whisper, trying to keep my voice steady.
Mico nods, his expression serious.
"We'll be safe if we stay with me."
His body tenses beside me, radiating heat through my arm warmers.
I feel his gaze on me as I stare at the screen, my mind racing with questions. "What do you mean by staying with you?"
I ask finally, turning to face him.
The mattress creaks as he shifts closer, his broad shoulders looming over me.
The blue light from the laptop casts an ethereal glow on his bronze skin.
"There's a safe house where Alexander is waiting," he explains, his voice low and steady.
"It's not safe here anymore."
My heart skips a beat at the mention of Alexander's name.
I try to pull my hand away from Mico's grasp, but he tightens his grip gently.
