I am sixteen years old, almost seventeen.
I don't know what happened, but I am in a hospital.
I woke up and found myself here.
The doctor told me that I was ten weeks pregnant.
I don't know what happened to me.
I have no memory of the past ten years.
I only remember my life until I was seven years old.
My childhood friend Yoono helped me by telling me what happened during the last ten years of my life.
He told me about my school, my friends, and even my boyfriend.
My boyfriend's name is Park Joon Park.
He is one year older than me.
Yoono told me that Park Joon Park has been looking for me everywhere after I disappeared, but he gave up hope and now doesn't know anything about me.
I want to find him and tell him that I am okay and pregnant with his child.
I hope he will be happy to see me again and raise our child together.
Park Joon Park
When I woke up in the hospital, I was shocked and confused.
I had no idea what happened and where I was.
The doctor told me that I was ten weeks pregnant.
I was speechless and couldn't say anything.
I was in shock and didn't know how to react.
I didn't remember anything from the past ten years of my life.
My Son Is My Boyfriend
I sit on the edge of the hospital bed, staring at the discharge papers in my hand.
Yoono is packing my few belongings into a plastic bag.
The morning sunlight streams through the window, casting a warm glow over the sterile room.
I change out of my hospital gown and into the clothes Yoono brought me.
They are too big, but I don't have any other options.
My hands shake as I tie the shoelaces of the sneakers he lent me.
The nurse comes in one last time to give me instructions on prenatal care and hands me a stack of prescriptions.
I nod and thank her, trying to absorb all the information.
Finally, I am free to go.
Walking feels strange after days in bed, but I steady myself against Yoono's arm as we make our way out of the room and down the hall.
My Son Is My Boyfriend
We pass by other patients, some of whom look up and smile at me as we walk by.
I try to return their smiles, but I'm still feeling a little dazed. We exit through the sliding doors and step out onto the busy street.
The sounds of car horns and people rushing to and fro make my head spin.
I hold onto Yoono's arm tightly as we make our way across the street.
We are headed six blocks away to the police station to report my disappearance.
My Son Is My Boyfriend
I take a deep breath, ready to reclaim the life I lost.
Inside the police station, I grip the edge of the metal desk as Officer Kim flips through the hospital documents in front of him.
The fluorescent lights overhead make my head throb.
"So, you're saying you have no memory of anything after 2003?"
I nod, trying to gather my thoughts.
"I only remember being seven years old and waking up in the hospital ten years later. I don't know how I got there or what happened to me."
Yoono stands behind me, his hand steady on my shoulder.
He explains that he saw my disappearance case on the news ten years ago and recognized me when he saw me again at the hospital.
I can see the officer's eyes widening as he processes this information.
He looks up at me with a mixture of confusion and curiosity.
"Can you show me your ID?"
My Son Is My Boyfriend
I hesitate, realizing I don't have any identification.
"I don't have anything," I admit.
"Everything was taken from me when I was admitted to the hospital."
The officer nods sympathetically and begins typing on his computer.
"Let me see if I can find any missing persons reports from 2003 that match your description."
A few minutes later, he turns his screen towards us, and a photo from 2003 stares back at me. It's a younger version of my face, the same one I see when I look in mirrors now.
I feel a chill run down my spine as I realize that this is a picture of me before everything changed.
The officer's voice cuts through my thoughts.
"This is you, right?"
I nod, unable to speak.
Yoono squeezes my shoulder reassuringly.
The officer quickly picks up the phone and dials a number.
"Officer Kim here," he says into the receiver.
"I think we've found a missing person from 2003. Can you send someone over?"
As he hangs up, he turns back to us.
My Son Is My Boyfriend
"Welcome back to your life," he says, his eyes filled with a solemn understanding.
I lean against the cold wall of the interrogation room, watching as Officer Kim makes phone calls at his desk.
My legs are trembling from standing for too long, but I refuse to sit down again.
Yoono keeps checking his phone, occasionally glancing at me with worry.
Another officer enters the room, carrying a thick folder in her arms.
She sets it down on the table and begins explaining something to Officer Kim.
I strain to hear their conversation, but they speak too quietly.
After a few minutes, Officer Kim turns to me.
"We've found some interesting information," he says.
"Over the past decade, someone has been calling this station every week asking about your case. They always call from the same number."
He picks up the phone and dials the number, putting it on speaker.

As it rings, my heart pounds against my ribs.
Who could be calling about me all these years?
Finally, a voice answers on the other end.
"This is Joon Park."
The voice is deep and masculine, with a hint of tiredness.
Officer Kim clears his throat.
"Hello, Mr. Park. This is Officer Kim from the police station. We have some news about a missing person case from 2003."
There is a sharp intake of breath on the other end of the line.
"Which case?"
"The one involving Jaehyun Kim."
There is a crash on the other end of the line, followed by rapid breathing.
"Jaehyun? Is he alive? Where is he?"
The desperation in his voice makes my chest tighten.
My Son Is My Boyfriend
I slide down the wall to sit on the floor, overwhelmed by the raw emotion in this stranger's voice who knows me.
Through the interrogation room window, I see a tall man sprinting across the police station, pushing past officers with wild desperation in his eyes.
He is heading straight towards our room.
My heart races as he gets closer.
I can see the features of his face through the glass now, but there is no recognition.
I have never seen him before in my life.
He is a complete stranger to me.
He bursts through the door, tears streaming down his face.
I instinctively stand up and step behind Yoono.
The man stops abruptly, his outstretched hands falling to his sides as he sees my lack of recognition.
His shoulders slump and he collapses into a chair, covering his face with his hands and sobbing uncontrollably.
My Son Is My Boyfriend
In that moment, I realize the past isn't just lost to me—it's a ghost haunting everyone I've left behind.
Officer Kim suggests we talk in the break room, away from prying eyes.
I sit awkwardly across from Joon, my hands instinctively wrapping protectively around my stomach.
His eyes widen as they fix on my midsection, his breathing becoming uneven.
"You're..." he starts, then stops, his voice cracking.
I nod slowly, confirming what he's noticed.
My Son Is My Boyfriend
Joon leans forward, trembling, and whispers, "Our baby?"
The word 'our' hits me like a physical force.
I grip the edge of the table, overwhelmed by this stranger claiming connection not just to me, but to the life growing inside me.
Before I can respond, Joon slides a small, worn photo across the table.
