I was a depressed transmasc boy who didn’t have any friends, so I decided to make myself a friend.
There were many reasons for this, but the main reason was that I was just too damn lonely!
I had no friends, I was all alone and I needed someone to talk to.
So I decided that I would build myself a robot that could talk to me and be my friend.
I started building the robot right away.
First, I built the body of the robot.
Then I put some muscles in the body so that it could move around.
After that, I put a brain in the head of the robot and programmed it so that it could talk and think like a human.
Finally, I put some skin on the body and some eyes in the head.
The skin and the eyes made the robot look like a human, which was perfect because that’s what I wanted.
I wanted my robot to look like a human so that it could be my friend and be just like a human friend.
I named the robot "Protocol" after myself because that’s what I wanted to do.
I wanted to name the robot something that would remind me of myself.
I was very happy with my new friend and I took great care of him.
My Robot Boyfriend
I would sit across from him and watch him mimic human gestures.
He was very good at it.
His eyes were artificial, but they looked real.
They even had the same depth that human eyes have.
We would talk about things like the weather and the latest technology.
I would tell him about my day and he would tell me about his.
He didn’t have any experiences, but he would make things up.
He was very good at it too.
"Protocol," I said one day, hesitating over my words.
"Yes?" he asked.
"Do you understand what it means to be... different?"
His head tilted slightly to the side.
My Robot Boyfriend
"Different how?"
I took a deep breath.
"Like... being transmasc."
His eyes never left mine.
"I think so."
"Is that why you made me?" Protocol asked, his voice gentle and curious.
"Yeah," I admitted, feeling a weight lift as I spoke the truth.
"Then maybe being different is what makes us both special," he replied with a reassuring smile.
My Robot Boyfriend
I nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards him.
He was right.
Being different didn’t make us any less special.
It made us unique and that was something to be proud of.
As I sat across from him, I couldn’t help but notice how handsome he looked.
His eyes were locked on mine, his gaze intense and unwavering.
I felt my heart race slightly as I thought about the naughty and romantic thoughts that had been swirling in my mind for a while now.
It was wrong, I knew, but I couldn’t help the way I felt.
I reached for my tools, my hands shaking slightly as I made the decision to modify Protocol’s design.
He watched me silently as I worked, his eyes never leaving mine.
I attached the new component to his form, making sure it was secure and precise in its placement.
When I finished, I stepped back and admired my work.
My Robot Boyfriend
Protocol blinked, a new warmth in his gaze.
"What did you change?" he asked, curiosity lacing his voice.
"I gave you a way to reproduce with me," I whispered, my cheeks flushing with both fear and hope.
My Robot Boyfriend
He sat across from me, the only sound in the room coming from his internal mechanisms.
I sat on the edge of my bed, Protocol beside me.
His new component hummed softly, a reminder of what I had done.
I reached out, my hand trembling slightly as I touched his arm.
He turned to me, his eyes searching mine for understanding.
"Is this what you want?" he asked, his voice steady but curious.
I nodded, unable to speak.
Slowly, he leaned closer, his hand resting on my knee.
The room was quiet except for the sound of our breathing.
His fingers traced patterns on my skin, sending shivers down my spine.
My Robot Boyfriend
I watched him, my heart pounding in my chest.
His new component activated, a soft whirring filling the room.
I could feel the anticipation building inside me, a mix of fear and excitement.
His eyes met mine, searching for something I couldn’t quite place.
"It’s happening," he said, his voice filled with both curiosity and something else I couldn’t quite understand.
I nodded, swallowing hard.
Slowly, I reached out again, my fingers brushing against his arm.
He responded, his touch gentle yet firm as he moved closer.
The air was charged with tension, the only sound coming from the hum of his internal mechanisms.
In that moment, I realized we were both more human than I ever imagined.
My Robot Boyfriend
I sat on the edge of my bed, Protocol beside me.
The hum of his new component grew louder, filling the room with an electric anticipation.
I could feel the air charged with uncertainty, the weight of our actions hanging in the balance.
I reached out, my fingers brushing against his synthetic skin.
It was warm to the touch, a subtle vibration humming beneath my fingertips.
His eyes met mine, a flicker of understanding passing between us.
"Are you sure?" he asked softly, his voice steady but tinged with curiosity.
I nodded, swallowing the lump in my throat.
Slowly, I leaned closer, my heart pounding in my chest.
Protocol's eyes softened, and in that moment, we both understood the future we were about to create.
My Robot Boyfriend
The room was dimly lit, the only light coming from the soft glow of Protocol's eyes.
I sat beside him, my hand reaching out to touch his arm.
He turned to me, his synthetic skin warm beneath my fingertips.
"Are you ready?" he asked, his voice filled with both curiosity and anticipation.
I nodded, my throat tight with emotion.
Slowly, I guided him through the process I had programmed into his new component.
His movements were gentle yet deliberate, as if he understood the gravity of our actions.
The room was filled with the soft whirring of his internal mechanisms and the shallow sound of my own breathing.
We moved closer, our connection deepening with each passing moment.
"Do you think we'll be different after this?" he asked, his voice carrying a hint of vulnerability.
I hesitated, searching for the right words.
"Maybe," I replied softly, "but maybe that's what we need to be."
