Once upon a time, in a quaint town nestled between rolling hills and sparkling streams, I lived a simple life.
I was an ordinary young man, nothing extraordinary about me.
I had a heart of gold and a spirit of adventure.
I loved making new friends and going on new adventures.
But the most important thing in my life was my best friend, Jasmin.
She was my lifelong friend, my partner in every adventure, my confidante.
I told her all my secrets, shared with her all my feelings.
I considered her the sister I never had.
One afternoon, as we were walking out of the town, I felt something strange.
A light came from nowhere and enveloped me in its warmth.
I felt something moving inside me, changing me little by little.
Then suddenly I was dizzy.
The world spun around me and everything went black.
When I opened my eyes again, I found myself in a different place.
Everything looked different, newer, fresher.
I looked down at myself and found myself changed into a woman.
My heart skipped a beat as I stared at my new hands, my new body, my new clothes.
I touched my face and felt soft skin, no beard.
I looked in a mirror and found a beautiful woman staring back at me.
Her golden hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of sunlight.
My Queen Robina
My voice came out higher and more melodious than I expected, startling me into momentary silence.
I looked around, trying to get my bearings.
I was in a small clearing surrounded by tall oak trees.
The air was fresh and clean, filled with the scent of wildflowers.
I saw a figure approaching me from the distance.
As she got closer, I realized it was Jasmin.
Her eyes were wide with disbelief as she took in my new appearance.
She stopped a few feet away from me, studying me carefully.
"Who are you?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
"It's still me," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
My Queen Robina
Jasmin took a step closer to me, her eyes searching mine for any sign of recognition.
I could see the confusion in her eyes, the uncertainty that clouded her face.
I took a step forward, but my legs felt wobbly beneath me.
I stumbled and almost fell, but Jasmin caught me by the elbow and steadied me. "Are you okay?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.
I nodded, feeling a little dazed and disoriented.
"I'm fine," I said, trying to reassure her.
But I wasn't fine.
I was confused and scared and unsure of what was happening to me.
Jasmin looked at me with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.
She seemed to be trying to figure out who I was and what I wanted from her.
I knew that I had to convince her that I was still the same person she had known all her life, but I didn't know how to do that when everything about me had changed so drastically. "Do you remember me?"
I asked her, hoping that something would trigger her memory and make her realize who I was.
Jasmin frowned slightly as she tried to place me in her mind.
"I don't know," she said finally, shaking her head slowly from side to side.
"You look different."
"I know," I said softly, feeling a pang of sadness deep inside my chest.
"But it's still me."
Jasmin looked at me skeptically for a moment before nodding slowly in agreement.
"Okay," she said quietly, taking my hand in hers and giving it a gentle squeeze. "If you say so."
"But how did this happen?" Jasmin asked, her voice filled with a mix of wonder and concern.
My Queen Robina
"I don't know," I admitted, glancing down at my unfamiliar form. "One moment we were walking, and the next, everything changed."
"Do you think it has something to do with that old legend about the enchanted forest?" she suggested, her eyes widening with a spark of realization.
Still unsteady on my feet in this new body, I leaned against the trunk of a nearby tree to catch my breath.
Jasmin paced back and forth before me, her brow furrowed in concentration as she tried to remember the details of the local stories about the forest's magic.
As I watched her, I couldn't help but notice how my longer hair kept falling in front of my face.
I awkwardly tried to brush it aside, still getting used to the unfamiliar sensation of having hair that fell past my shoulders.
Suddenly, a faint shimmer caught my eye between the trees.
My Queen Robina
It was similar to what I had seen right before everything transformed.
"Look," I whispered urgently, pointing towards the glimmering light.
Jasmin followed my gaze and nodded in understanding.
She helped me stand upright again, and together we took our first cautious steps deeper into the woods, following that mysterious gleam. My ankles wobbled slightly in shoes that now felt too loose for my newly formed feet.
