MidReal Story

My Mafia Boyfriend

Scenario:The hallways of Seint Mark's High School were packed with students noisily discussing the latest gossip, tests, and pointless student dramas. But for Lucas Velasco, all of this was just background. He moved quietly and inconspicuously, avoiding unnecessary attention, just as his father had taught him. Lucas was no ordinary student. He was the son of Dario Velasco, the most dangerous mafia boss in the city. And although his family ruled the underworld with an iron fist, he tried to keep his life outside of school as normal as possible. "Lucas!" The cheerful voice of Niall Wilson, his best friend, came through. Niall was his complete opposite - always smiling, energetic, and ready to tell a crazy story. He had no idea who Lucas really was, and that was exactly what made him so important to him. With Niall, he could be just a student, not the heir to a criminal empire. –You’re late Lucas remarked as Niall caught up with him and lightly tapped him on the shoulder. –Yeah, yeah, I know. But wait, listen to this, I saw Mr. Henderson spill his own coffee on himself this morning. And his coffee was still hot, he burned himself all over! Niall laughed out loud, and Lucas smiled faintly. Niall always had stories like that. The two headed for their classroom, but as Lucas entered, he noticed that a message had arrived on his phone: “We need to talk. Now.” (This is BL)

The hallways of Seint Mark's High School were crowded and noisy.
Students were talking about the latest gossip, tests, and pointless dramas.
Noise, chaos, and disorder.
But not for me.
I walked through the crowds, avoiding unnecessary attention as my father had taught me.
I did not want to draw attention to myself.
I moved quietly and inconspicuously, just as I had been trained to do.
And when I entered my classroom, everyone else noticed the commotion caused by the students in the hallway seemed to fade away.
"Lucas!"
The cheerful voice of Niall Wilson, my best friend at school, came through.
He tapped me lightly on the shoulder as he approached me.
"You’re late," I said without looking at him.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. But wait, listen to this: I saw Mr. Henderson spill his own coffee on himself this morning. And his coffee was still hot; he burned himself all over!"
Niall laughed out loud.
I smiled faintly as I headed toward my seat.
Niall always had stories like that to tell me.
He followed and sat next to me in class.
My Mafia Boyfriend
I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket and discreetly check the screen under my desk.
It was a message from Rosa, marked as urgent.
My jaw tightens as I read it.
I gather my materials without drawing attention and slip them into my backpack.
Niall is still talking about Mr. Henderson when I stand up.
Ms. Parker hasn't started the lesson yet, so I walk to her desk with a calm expression.
She looks at me, confused.
"Lucas? Is everything okay?"
I nod quietly.
"I’m not feeling well, Ms. Parker. I think I need to go to the nurse."

She nods, writing me a hall pass.
"Okay, take care of yourself," she says as she hands me the pass.
I step into the hallway, leaving behind the noise of the classroom, and brace myself for what Rosa's message might mean.
I walk briskly down the empty corridor, holding the nurse's pass in my hand.
My footsteps echo against the lockers.
I take the long route to avoid the security cameras near the main office.
Two teachers pass by, and I slow my pace, nodding politely while clutching my stomach to sell the sick act.
Once they're gone, I duck into the west stairwell - the one with the broken camera that maintenance never seems to fix.
My Mafia Boyfriend
Taking the stairs two at a time, I reach the second floor and pause at the library entrance.
I push open the heavy library door and scan the room.
Rosa is waiting by the reference section, dressed in her usual dark business suit.
She nods curtly as she sees me and gestures for me to follow her.
We walk past rows of books, heading toward the emergency exit at the back of the library.
The door opens with a loud click, and we step into a dimly lit stairwell.
The metal stairs lead down to the parking lot.
Our footsteps echo off the concrete walls as we descend.
At the bottom, I can see Rosa's black SUV waiting, its engine running and tinted windows reflecting the afternoon sun.
I check over my shoulder one last time before sliding into the passenger seat.
Rosa gets behind the wheel and starts driving.
My Mafia Boyfriend
She takes an indirect route, weaving through side streets to avoid main roads.
Neither of us speaks during the drive.
We're headed toward my father's estate on the outskirts of the city.
Rosa finally breaks the silence, her voice low and urgent.
"Lucas, your father has been taken in for questioning by the authorities."
