It was a sunny afternoon, and I was walking back to my apartment after finishing my internship interview.
The sun was shining brightly, and I felt happy and hopeful about my future.
I had just graduated from university and was trying to build my career.
Things were going well for me, but I knew that I still had a long way to go.
As I turned the corner onto my street, I saw a black sedan parked outside my apartment building.
I didn't think much of it, assuming it was one of my neighbors' cars.
When I reached the front door, I saw a piece of paper stuck under the door.
Curious, I pulled it out and examined it.
On the note was written in red ink: "Meet me at the coffee shop at 7 pm. Come alone. — The Boss."
Confused, I tried to figure out who The Boss was and why he wanted to meet me.
I checked my phone and saw that I had a new message from an unknown number.
The message read: "Hello Alex, I have been watching you. Meet me at the coffee shop at 7 pm sharp. Come alone."
Suddenly, I felt uneasy and scared.
Who was this person, and how did he know my name?
I tried to brush it off as a prank or a mistake.
But the message had sent chills down my spine.

I checked my surroundings, looking for any signs of danger.
But everything seemed normal.
I decided to go about my day as usual.
But I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong.
As the day went by, I found myself constantly looking over my shoulder, expecting someone to jump out and grab me.
I tried to focus on my work, but I couldn't concentrate.
Finally, it was 7 pm, and I had to go to the coffee shop.
I walked the three blocks to Café Luna, my heart pounding with every step.
The evening crowd had thinned out, and the streets were quiet and dark.
I could feel eyes watching me from the shadows.

When I reached the café, I paused outside the door for a moment to catch my breath.
Then I pushed open the door and stepped inside.
The bell above the door chimed as I entered.
The café was dimly lit, and most of the tables were empty.
But there was one table in the corner where a man sat facing the door.
He was a broad-shouldered man in a dark suit and sunglasses.
He raised his coffee cup slightly in a gesture for me to join him. My legs felt heavy as I walked towards his table.
When I reached the table, he kicked out the chair across from him for me to sit down.
I hesitated for a moment, then sat down in the chair.
He leaned forward, his voice barely above a whisper, "Welcome to the real world, Alex."

The Boss's lips curl into a cold smile as I settle into the hard wooden chair across from him.
The café's evening crowd provides background chatter, but his presence dominates our corner.
He slides a manila envelope across the table, his movements deliberate and calculated.
I hesitate, unsure of what to expect.
"Open it," he commands, his voice low and authoritative.
My hands tremble slightly as I lift the flap and pull out the contents.
A stack of photographs stares back at me, each one capturing a different moment of my life.
There's a picture of me walking to work, another of me leaving the library late at night.
One photo shows me entering my apartment building, while another captures me laughing with friends at a coffee shop.
My eyes widen in shock as I flip through them, realizing that he has been watching me for some time.

"How did you get these?"
I ask, my voice barely above a whisper.
The Boss leans back in his chair, his expression unreadable behind his sunglasses.
"I have my ways," he responds, his tone casual yet menacing. "You see, Alex, I've been watching you for a while now. I know all about your struggles. The rent that's overdue, the utilities that need to be paid. The student loans that hang over your head like a constant reminder of your financial burdens."
He taps his finger on one of the photographs, the one showing my apartment building's entrance.
"I know about your job search, about the countless interviews you've gone to with no luck. And I know about your parents' house, where you visited last weekend."
My breath catches in my throat as I realize just how much he knows about me.
"How...how do you know all this?"
I stutter, feeling exposed and vulnerable under his scrutiny.
The Boss leans forward again, his voice taking on a persuasive tone.
"Let's just say I have my ways. But what's important is that I can help you. I can make all your financial troubles disappear."
He pulls out a contract from another envelope and slides it across the table towards me.
"Sign this, and everything changes." My eyes dart towards the contract, then back to him.
"What is this?"
I ask cautiously, my mind racing with possibilities.
My Mafia Alpha
"It's a business proposition," he replies smoothly.
"One that will benefit both of us. You see, Alex, I have certain needs that require someone with your unique set of skills. And in return for your services, I'll take care of all your financial burdens."
I stare at the contract, feeling the weight of my decision pressing down on me.
