Jessi
secretive, and impulsive. Jessi plans a yearlong trip to Korea with her best friends Chiara and Timo, and her dog Milo. She is a huge fan of Stray Kids, often sneaking into concerts and hiding in the background to see them. Jessi is excited to see her favorite group in person during their world tour in Seoul.
Chiara
cautious, and loyal. Chiara accompanies Jessi on the trip to Korea, supporting Jessi's fan antics. She is hesitant at first to attend Stray Kids' concert, but ultimately enjoys it when Jessi drags her on stage. Chiara provides a grounded perspective amidst Jessi’s chaotic fan frenzy.
Milo
curious, and affectionate. Milo accompanies Jessi on the trip to Korea, bringing joy and misadventures alike. His antics often surprise his friends, like accidentally peeing on someone's shoe. Milo's presence adds a heartwarming element to the group’s adventures in Korea.
It's a beautiful day in Seoul.
I'm walking with my best friend Chiara, my gay best friend Timo, and my puppy Milo.
Milo is a 6-month-old Golden Retriever with a very fluffy and cute coat.
He loves playing, running, and eating.
I'm so happy I can bring him to Korea with me for a year.
I planned this trip for months now, and I'm so happy all my plans worked out.
I have a small apartment in Seoul, not too far away from the city center.
My job allows me to take a year off, so I decided to make the most of it.
I'm 26 years old and didn't travel much yet, so I thought this is the perfect time to do it.
And of course, I had to bring my best friends along.
They are just as big K-pop fans as I am.
Our favorite group is Stray Kids, and we're going to see them in concert next week.
We already have tickets, and I'm so excited to finally see them live.
We're not the typical fans; we don't scream or show off our love for them on social media.
We're more like the secretive type who keeps it to ourselves but still follows every move they make.
I spot a trendy bubble tea shop across the street, and I'm immediately drawn to its modern storefront and pink neon sign.
We wait for the crosswalk signal, and Milo sits patiently by my side, his tail wagging occasionally as he watches the passing cars.
As we enter the bubble tea shop, we're greeted by the sweet aroma of milk tea and the lively chatter of customers.
The menu is extensive, written in both Korean and English on a large board above the counter.
Timo orders his usual taro milk tea, while Chiara deliberates between a few fruit options.
I opt for brown sugar milk tea and ask for a small cup of whipped cream on the side for Milo.
The barista smiles at my puppy, who has settled under our table, occasionally peeking up at the customers walking by.
I lead our group to a secluded booth in the back corner, away from the afternoon crowd.
Milo settles under the table, occasionally licking at the whipped cream that has been placed in his own special cup.
Timo pulls out his phone, showing us the concert venue layout he downloaded from the official Stray Kids website.
The seating arrangement is divided into sections, each with its own designated entry and exit points.
I point to the middle section, suggesting that we might be able to find spots where we can blend in with other fans without drawing too much attention.
Chiara sips on her passion fruit tea, looking a bit nervous at the prospect of being close to the stage.
"I'm not sure if I can handle being that close," she admits, fidgeting with her straw.
"We'll stick to our usual low-key approach," I reassure her with a smile.
"We can still enjoy the concert from a distance."
Timo's eyes light up as he scrolls through the setlist he found online.
"Oh my god, they're performing 'Back Door' and 'God's Menu'!"
