Sarah's Mother

I was sitting in the living room when I saw Sarah coughing.
I knew she had ashma.
I asked her if she was okay?
She said yes.
But her condition didn't seem to go well.
She started to breathe heavily.
"Sarah, where is your inhaler?"
I asked her.
"It'sā¦ In myā¦ Bag," she said, struggling to breathe.
"Baby, come," I said, taking her to her bedroom.
I took her inhaler from her bag and gave it to her.
After taking two breaths from it, she felt a little better.
Then her mom came in the room.
"Are you okay, beta?"
She asked her.
"Yes mom. I had a little ashma attack," Sarah said.
Her mom's jaw dropped when she saw me standing there.
"Who are you?"
She asked Sarah.
"I'm her husband, Mark," I said with a smile.
"Your husband? I thought he is a doctor," She said to Sarah.
"No, mom. He is a paramedic," Sarah said, defending me.
"What? I told you to marry a doctor and he is a paramedic?" She said to Sarah angrily.
Then suddenly, Sarah grabbed her chest and started breathing heavily again.
"Mom, don't worry. I know what to do," I said, taking her inhaler again.
I gave it to her and asked her to take two breaths.
After some time, she felt a little better.
Her mom looked at me with wide eyes.
