I am Jin, a 19yearold korean boy, and I am 40 weeks pregnant.
Our baby does not want to come out of my tummy; I am so uncomfortable.
My husband San and I decided to go to the mall today.
We also have my sister with us temporarily; she is staying with us because she came from her boyfriend's place, which is far from our place, so she preferred to stay with us until he goes back to Korea.
My name is Jin Kim, and I am a boy, but I am pregnant, yes, you read that correctly: a pregnant man.
I know it will sound weird to you, but it's all okay.
I got married two years back to my husband, San Kim; he is halfKorean and halfJapanese.
He also has two first names.
We love each other so much, and we are expecting our first child.
We are so much in love even though we are from different cultures.
Even though we are from different countries, our marriage is going so smoothly.
Thank God for that.
San is so caring and sweet; he always wants me to be happy.
That's my hubby.
Even though I am 40 weeks pregnant, my tummy is not ready to set our baby free.

I am sitting in the passenger seat of our car, and I am trying to find a better position for my swollen belly.
San notices and reaches over to pat my stomach gently.
"Our baby is very comfortable in there, huh?" he says with a soft smile.
Yuna, who is sitting in the back, leans forward between the seats and pokes my belly playfully.
I swat her hand away, but she does it again, making silly faces at my stomach through the gap.
"Yuna, behave," San says with a sigh.
She just giggles and continues to poke at me.
The car hits a speed bump, and I wince and clutch my belly protectively.
"Jin, are you okay?" San asks, concern lacing his voice as he glances over at me.
"I'm fine," I reply, trying to sound convincing, but Yuna's eyes narrow as she studies my face.

"You know," Yuna says slowly, "Mom called me last night—she thinks the baby's waiting for something special to happen."
San and I exchange a look, and I shrug.
We pull into the mall parking lot, and San circles around twice before finding a spot close to the entrance.
He helps me out of the car, holding my hand as I awkwardly maneuver my large belly.
As I stand up, I feel a slight tightening sensation across my abdomen.
It's so mild that I almost miss it, but it feels different from the usual movements.

I keep my expression neutral, not wanting to worry San or excite Yuna unnecessarily.
"Jin, did you feel that?" San asks, his voice tinged with curiosity and a hint of excitement.
I nod slowly, trying to process the sensation. "Yeah, but it was just a little... different."
Yuna claps her hands together, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Maybe it's the special thing Mom was talking about!"
We make our way into the mall, browsing through the department store's baby clothes section.
As we're searching for a new onesie, I feel that same tightening sensation again.
I glance down at my phone, and sure enough, it's exactly one hour since the first one.
San notices me pause midreach for a tiny onesie and walks over to me.
"What is it?" he asks softly.
I take a deep breath and look up at him.
"I think these are contractions," I say calmly, trying to gauge his reaction.
San's eyes widen slightly, but he quickly regains his composure.
"Okay," he says, his voice steady.
Yuna starts frantically typing on her phone, trying to time the contractions.

I grab a shopping cart to lean on and continue walking down the aisle with San and Yuna.
"We can stay," I tell them, "but when they get closer together, I want to go home."
