My friend sleeps with mom because he loves her so he tricks me into setting all this up by a bet
Ethan
He is a young man trying to prove himself. He is impulsive, determined, and anxious. He has a close friendship with Josh but struggles with Josh's reckless behavior. Ethan is hesitant and feels pressured when Josh involves him in a dangerous situation where they have to retrieve a valuable item. During a family dinner, Ethan is confronted with a disturbing proposition from Josh, involving his mother.
Josh
He is Ethan's friend and acquaintance of his family. He is reckless, bold, and mischievous. Josh often drags Ethan into his daring adventures, disregarding safety and consequences. He takes advantage of Ethan's trust and naivety, often playing on his anxiety. His suggestion for Ethan to retrieve an item from a woman during a family dinner reveals his willingness to exploit his friendship and personal boundaries for his own amusement.
Mabel
She is Ethan's mother who plays a significant role in the family. She is nurturing, authoritative, and compassionate. Mabel provides emotional support for Maggie and is deeply concerned about her daughter's independence in the future. Her relationship with Ethan is complex; she uses her authority to guide him while also being empathetic towards his struggles. Her presence during family dinners intensifies the tension when Josh makes provocative remarks.
"Hey man, its all normal, come on," Josh said, so I loosed the bet and I was supposed to get the money the next day but I didn't have it yet.
"Come on man, don't joke with me," I said, worried.
"Joking? Do I look like a kid who jokes," he said.
"Then what are you doing?"
I asked, confused.
"I'm serious, you will pay me tomorrow," he said.
I took a deep breath and sighed.
I had no choice; I had already placed the bet so I had to wait for the outcome.
The next day came and I won; I was happy and I called Josh immediately.
"Hey man, I won," I said, smiling.
"Congratulations," he said, not looking too happy.
"So when am I going to get my money?" I asked.
"You didn't loose, did you?" he asked, and I frowned immediately.
"Yeah, I did loose," I said, feeling stupid for not asking him what we were betting on first.
"What were we betting on?" I asked.
"You don't know yet?" he asked, and my heart started beating fast.
"What were we betting on?" I asked again, feeling anxious.
"I don't know, you didn't tell me," I said.
"Come to my house," he said and hung up.
I got to his house and his mom opened the door for me.
She smiled and told me Josh was in his room; I went in and knocked on his door.
He opened the door and walked back inside.
I entered his room; it was dark and he had his phone on the bed, so it was the only source of light in the room.
"Sit," he said, and I sat on the bed next to him.
He brought out his phone and started showing me some screenshots of text messages between him and my mom.
I checked the phone number and saw that it was really my mom's number, and they had been texting for weeks now.
He started scrolling through some photos of them at a cafe.
I checked the cafe well; it was a popular one close to our house where my mom always got her coffee every morning.
"So what's going on?"
I asked, feeling weird about everything. "You lost the bet," he said, still smiling.
"What do you want from me?"
I asked, feeling stupid.
"You lost, so you are supposed to give me whatever I ask for," he said.
"So what do you want?"
I asked again, getting worried by the second.
"I just wanted to get closer to your mom," he said, smiling at me, and my stomach turned at once.
"You are getting close to my mom?" I asked, not sure if I heard him well.
"Yes, I am," he said again.
"How?" I asked.
"I used your bet as an excuse; I told her I was your friend and that you were keeping something away from her so she shouldn't worry," he said, smiling. "And she believed you?"
I asked, still not sure if all of this was a joke or not.
"Yes she did," he said again.
"So how did you get her number?"
I asked, still confused about everything going on around me now.
"She gave it to me when we met at the cafe," he said again.
"You guys have met already?"
I asked, getting more confused now.
"Yes we have met twice already," he said again with a smile on his face that made me feel weird about everything now.
"You are sick!"
I said and tried taking his phone away from him but he pulled back at once.
"Relax, I'm not trying to hurt anyone," Josh said, holding his phone tightly.
"But why my mom?" I asked, my voice shaking slightly.
"Because she's the key to something much bigger," he replied, his eyes glinting with a secret.
Pacing in his living room, I demanded he delete the messages, but he just smirked and pulled up more photos on his phone.
There's my mom at the cafe, laughing at something Josh said.
Another shows them walking in the park.
Josh explains how he's been playing the role of the caring friend, telling my mom he's worried about my behavior.
"Your mom's really understanding," he said, scrolling through their conversations.
"She thinks I'm such a good influence."
My hands shake as I realize how deeply he's embedded himself in my family.
"What exactly are you planning, Josh?" I asked, my voice trembling with anger.
"Let's just say your mom has connections that could change everything for me," he replied, his tone dripping with ambition.
"You can't use her like that; she's not a pawn in your game," I said, my fists clenching.
